How long did it take you to drop analogs fully?

I dropped them right away, but then I have 5 teenage (I always call them teenage, but they are now 19 to 22 years old) boys who are all bigger than me and wouldn't let me smoke once I started with the ecig. The oldest took my pack for himself, 4 of the 5 smoke, and 1 of them is 6 feet 9 inches tall, he would just hold any analog I might pick up over his head and tell me if I could reach it I could have it (he is also the one that doesn't smoke). Interesting support system LOL but it worked!

A bit less than 2 months.

The key for me was finding a nicotine strength and flavor that worked after that point I just forgot to smoke.

I am a "newbie" to all of this. 1&1/4 pack a day, past 25 plus years. Started experimenting with about 5 different disposables on the market. Ordered a "premium" brand starter kit. Came today, which is day 5 no cigarettes. There is no longer a "need" to smoke. The flavor of this ecigarette is awesome, the strength is just right, and the vapor is how I like it. I just hope this rechargable lasts longer than the disposable....but I'm lovin it. Feel better already. The lozenges did it for me once, and I did quit for 18 months....but it didn't last. This I can live with because I enjoy it better than the real deal.

I know I probably didn't buy the top of the line kit...and hope to learn more and better ways to save money, and enjoy this new found freedom from analogs. Learning the lingo too.

Strangely enough (smoked 2 packs a day for many years), I never went back or craved any the moment I had a good vaping solution. Kept a pack (unopened) on stand by for emergencies, but they never arose. I chose to run at 24 mg up front, assuming it would work, and it did. I think after the first few days however, I kept reaching for a pack of smokes, reaching for a lighter. It seemed the nic in the juice took care of the physical issues, but it took a while to break the repetitive smoking motions (if that makes sense).

After going through a cold turkey quit decades ago in which I never lost the mental desire to smoke for a long time (and eventually went back), I decided this time to stop slowly. At the end of a week, I was only smoking with coffee, one after each meal, and one before bed. I did that for two years. Finally, I decided the last ones needed to go. I vaped and quit smoking and never looked back. For those who tend to relapse, I think this is a sound way to quit.

Let yourself get used to a low number of cigs and your addiction begins to break down. You don't have to wait two years, but taper off while vaping and then quit when you are ready. You don't have to drag it out as long as you think.

I decided not to make a big deal of quitting because I was afraid if I did the whole "that's it! I'm giving up!" thing my analogs would become the forbidden fruit. So at first I said I was just cutting down. I continued to smoke those "have to have cigs in the day and replaced the extra ones with my e-cig. I found I didn't really need a cig at all after about 2 weeks. I kind of fancy an analog from time to time but I wouldn't even call it a proper craving. Since I got a cartomizer I'm finding it even more satisfying and think it's better that smoking. I can't believe it because I have always failed to quit in the past no matter what I tried.

Don't be disheartened. Everyone is different. I think the key for me was trying not to make a big deal of the "giving up" in my head. I even carried a pack around for about a week just to relax myself and said "if I need one I'll have one" but only smoked 2 :) Then I just gave them away

I am coming up on one year "smoke free" on August 1st. I was desperate to quit cigarettes and once I started vaping I have not smoked again. This spring was stressful and there were several times I wished I could smoke a cigarette but I knew I never would. They stink. They're gross. I am done with that. Hang in there and keep vaping. Smoke one if you feel you really have to. I believe in no time at all you will be completely free from the habit but if not, vaping will at least help you to cut back. Good luck! Baby steps.....

3 days from when I started vaping. I vape non-tobacco flavors and when I 'tried' to smoke an analog on day three of vaping...it tasted like $%^&!! Could only take three puffs before I put it out and haven't touched or had the urge to since then. When I find myself thinking or reaching for a 'smoke', I load up the dessert flavors and vape away! Even better? I've lost seven pounds in two weeks cuz I'm 'smoking' my desserts instead of eating them!

Hang in there and know it gets easier...

I dropped the fags like a hot potatoe the very first day. Those of you who still crave analogs; stop it! Vape more, it won't hurt you! Try some Whole Tobacco Alkaloids, stronger nicotine concentration, and/or a stronger flavor. Make a decision to not smoke and just vape yer brains out till the craving passes.
