Quit? I have taken 6 month vacations in my 34 year smoking career 4 times by cold turkey, gum, patch and many other crackpot methods as well. This is my third try at vaping.....started September of last year had 2 analogs the first couple of weeks but since then nada. I still miss them but I figure that once an addict always an addict, I can't say that I have quit until I am dead in the ground. On a brighter note I am coming up on 6 months soon and that will be the longest time w/o and analog since I was 12!!!!!!

vape ON EVERYONE!!!!!!

Received my first starter kit (KGO) on 2/6/12. Smoked my last analog that night at 9:30 while waiting for battery charge to be finished. Officially started vaping on the 7th and have not had a real cig since. So... 10 days for me so far and have not even wanted an analog. Yea! For me this has been the "easy button" for quitting the spendy stinkers. Over a PAD smoker for 25+ years. Have been down the gum, patch, etc route in years past. Never worked. The only other time I ever quit for over a year was when I was pregnant with my sons. Since then, vaping is the only thing that has worked, and it is working well!

It took me 1 pack of smokes to learn to trust the vape ( 1.5 Pack a day, 14 yrs ) over 1 month smoke free.
I was around a smoker over the weekend and all I could think about was how far I could smell it, not a smoker hater just amazed sense of smell coming back. Then later I thought wow it did not trigger any cravings for an analog.

Smoking has so much baggage that we forget about all over a crave. Keep on vaping and trust the vape!

I was a pad newport smoker for 15 years. I quit the same day I got my ego-t kit, it's been a little over a month since I quit.

After 3 days of vaping I lit up a newport just to see and I could barely take 2 drags, it was the worst taste I'd ever tasted, and I can smell a smoker from a mile away now and it's just gross. So I'm done with cigs for good, there's no way I'd ever go back to smoking.

I think I smoked my last analog when I opened up the safe cig package that came in the mail. Now..most of you are going to cringe...but I like my Safe Cig..I really liked it once I found out I can buy the batteries cheaper from other places and also buy cartomizers from other sources and fill my own and eventually I started to make my own juice. I might change eventually..but I'm very content to just use up my 7 batteries then check into something different. Who knows what new inventions will be available by then.

December 19, 2011, the day that my life changed forever..for the better. I remember feeling strange about it at first, especially my first smoke of the day. How strange to just pick up something and inhale it without lighting it. But after realizing the flavor options that are available..wow oh wow! Totally worth it! Now it's all second nature to me. I don't even want to try an analog to see how gross it is. Hearing all of your testimonies is enough for me.

Thanks again to ECF...great group of people and so much support and knowledge. You have made such a difference in so many lives! Thanks!

I had one cigarette the day I started vaping. I haven't had one since. Best of luck and remember it is different for everyone. It is not a competition. Some people quit analogs on day one, others at a week, a month and so on. Every analog you don't light up is an improvement for your health! Keep on keeping on.

I'm the 'other side' of the coin..... was never able to quit completely longer than 3 month stretches. But in the end, I was fine with that as my own harm reduction effort.

To date... I'm at a pack a day (down from 3 packs a day) and approaching into my 4th year of vaping. I hope to some day make the full transition permanent, but I'm also happy to have made great strides in comparison to where I once was.

Never consider yourself a failure...... for every stinky avoided is a WIN !! Many people are different with their mindsets and approaches, as the majority (with some dedication) made an easy switchover, a minority have taken to them without any problem at all, and some of us (like myself) are thickheaded stubborn to let a good thing win over, lol.

VapeOn EVERYONE..... to best of your abilities !
