So glad I read this thread. I've been rotating 2 atomizers for about 2 months, and after reading troggs post about waning performance I took out an (almost) new atomizer and BAM tons of vapor! I didn't know what I was missing!

Yeah, see bamm™. That's what I'm talking about. It's like that first kiss that makes you fall in love all over again!

I know many of you respect Trog and so do I, but this rant really hit me wrong. I am sure I wasnt the only one.

dumb and getting dumber.. another piece of what used to be common knowledge has past away due to spammers and noobs now dominating this place..

trog

ps.. competition is now high in the e cig industry.. the bullsh-t factor is also now high and getting higher.. in this place.. noob opinion and vested interest but clever spam now seems par for the course..

is their any supplier brave enough to try and prove me wrong on this.. it should make an interesting thread..
[my emphasis]

It has come to our attention that the great Trog thinks that noobs are as worthless as spam and have caused the fact that attys have a specific lifespan to be forgotten and we are making this forum dumber because we are newbies, as well as increasing the bull___ level overall.

Maybe I (or any newbie) shouldn't buy a ScrewDriver because I am a noob and dont know any better? I obvioulsy cant make a $159 decision if I claim a "time frame" instead of "MTBF/technical specs" of a $8 atomizer.

Trog, I do respect your opinions on vaping and equipment, and I offer you kudos and thanks on your contribution to vaping as well as this forum. But, to state that noobs make this place dumber, or that me stating my 30 day old atty is working great is "bull___" and inferring that I dont know what I am doing, is just plain wrong, in my newbie opinion.

I also took out a 3 day old atty from my spares and vaped it side by side with my 30 day atty. While a difference was present, it wasnt an $8 difference.... I apologize that this opinion handicaps this forum for all of the experts.

From being on this forum lo these many months, I've found no one who knows all the answers to questions being asked. The vast majority here are intelligent posters who offer their opinions and experiences. You are free to pick and choose what works best for you, and your wallet. It's been my experience that "I know it all" types feel they also know how everything else should be in the world, and all should see their wisdom. But that's just my opinion as a "nube".

An intelligent person gathers information from all sides and makes their own choice. You've got to love this forum. Everyone's path is unique. And where they are and how they got there is always entertaining, inspiring, and enlightening.

P.S. In the world of e-cigs nobody stays a noob for long.

Don't know the time like of my 901's (my first pv) .. I'd order a new kit every few weeks and all the attys got mixed up so I don't know how old each one is but a lot of them are still alive and strong.

My first 510 atty lasted about 3 weeks (I broke it.. my fault.. did something stupid.. doesn't count lol) the first to die of it's own malfunction... about 3 months... and that one went for a swim in the washing machine so. The one I've been using since (2ish weeks) is sort of falling apart though. The core keeps coming to the top, the outer sheath keeps sliding up, keep having to push it back together but it's still burning like a champ lol

Offensive or not, I'd much rather take heed of a manufacturer's advice rather than that given by a bunch of recreational vapers (like me :D). I mean, this guy's obviously doing business for a reason...

Don't get me wrong, I think this board is great because of the huge amount of info you can take in, but he does make a really good point.

I'll add that my background is MMORPG boards, so what Trog's saying comes across to me as completely effing civil lol

love or hate ol Trogg, just read between the lines of what he's saying.

he's referring to the "blind leading the blind" here. when most of the folks who know what they're talking about are gone or being ignored...then it's the newbs/blind giving advice to the other blind/newbs therefore perpetuating misinformation or poor advice and stating it as truth.

were we all newbs? yup. but some of us worked to learn and understand things. i've personally seen some of the WORST ADVICE on these forums lately, and very few experienced people can get a word in to steer people in the right direction because of all the "blind" throwing their posts out there.

just my observation of what trogg could be getting at.
