Hi everyone, Im new to vaping. I just got a Bogue 510 Disposable. I smoke about half a pack a day. I am a very quick smoker. I usually pull the smoke deep into my lungs and hold it for a few seconds before blowing it out.

I do like vaping but Im never totally satisfied. I need to vape for like 10 minutes before I feel good enough to get back to work. I do find this frustrating, because I am a quick smoker, and sometimes i feel like it just takes too long to feel satisfied.

How long does it take you to feel satisfied?

Like you, I was a half-pack a day smoker - but I was also home-rolling American Spirits, and that stuff has a kick to it. Also, like you, I was a fast smoker, taking big draws every 5-10 seconds. Oh, and I'm new to this too - just celebrating my one week anniversary!

Like Apoxing and Chimney34 said, your problem is probably the nicotine content of that disposable. If those are the pre-filled carts, from what I can see those are 16mg juices. For even a half-pack smoker like us, this is NOT enough. You need something stronger to sate the cravings - 24mg is standard for that, though I am okay at 18mg. I learned this from experience - I filled my first vaper with 12mg, thinking that since I only smoked a half-pack, I didn't need as much nicotine, right?

WRONG. I was vaping pretty constantly just to keep the edge off, and for the first several days I was still smoking a couple of analogs a day to get me through (morning/night).

Do yourself a favor, and don't give up! If you're liking the form-factor if that 510, pick yourself up some refillable carts for it, and grab some higher nic content juice. I strongly recommend going with a 24mg juice, and ordering from somewhere like Mount Baker Vapor - reliable, affordable, and excellent turnaround time.

I've been using 6mg and chain vaped like a ..... I tried some 24mg (I wouldn't recommend jumping so much in content, it's just what I had) and I am good after a few toots.

I've been at 18mg since I started. I had an emergency bottle of 24mg for the first couple of weeks when I had really bad cravings but otherwise the 24mg is too much for me.

I started at 24 mg a month ago and cut back to 12 mg a few weeks ago.

I do find myself going through more juice in one day then I did on the 24 but it is way more pleasurable.

When I started I was told I would need 24mg because I smoked 2 packs a day but man I just can't do 24mg.

I find I vape more frequently then I would have smoked but I only take 1 or 2 draws and put it down.

I do vape like a banshee though when I'm driving :vapor:

I started with 8mg and 14mg - like Adelwolf I underestimated what I would need. I chain vaped those babies all day and night - nothing. I did manage to cut down from a PAD to 5 per day, which is nothing to sneeze at, but it wasn't because I felt satisfied. It was because I just convinced myself to keep vaping past my cravings, which never really went away (hence the chain vaping).

Others on here gave me the same advice - up my nic content. So I bought some 18mg fluid with my new apollo and vaped that all last evening and this morning. It was weird. I'm pretty sure it jacked me up and gave me a low grade fever last night, which is a good sign as far as nic saturation goes (I was looking for some physical sign that I was actually getting the nicotine; it helps me convince my brain that this is working). The problem is I didn't really feel any more satisfied than I did with the lower doses.

However, I've noticed it's easier to resist the cravings at the higher dose. I suspect a lot of this has to do with the slower delivery of nicotine in ecigs - we just aren't going to get that immediate, visceral, "ahhhhhhh" of satisfaction we got from analogs. But at least based on my small sample size of one day with the Apollo 18mg, the key is more the actual nicotine I'm getting, however slowly, and the potency of the vaping experience. My Apollo has a throat hit that knocks me on my ... (a good thing), and I find that if I vape it until I feel on the verge of nicotine overload, I can resist the cravings because I just don't want no more damn nicotine. I still want a ciggy, but thinking about smoking it makes me fill slightly queasy, because I'm already kind of queasy. Kind of A Clockwork Orange method, I guess :)

Basically: up your nicotine and help your brain understand that it's getting what it wants, and don't be afraid to chain vape. Any port in the storm, my friend.

The OC
it's technique.

The nic in vapor is absorbed though mucus membranes(mouth, nose) you actually don't even need to inhale(though I and most others do)

You DO however need to draw the vapor into your mouth, like drinking from a straw, THEN if you choose to inhale, take it down into your lungs...

DO NOT draw the vapor directly into your lungs... you're wasting it.

Personally, the best method i've found(I really only do it at home or when I'm alone)
I draw the vapor into my mouth
French inhale (let the vapor escape your mouth... and inhale it through your nose)
Then exhale out both my mouth and my nose at the same time.

Also, I chain vape all day...

2-5 drags... 5-10 minute break... repeat... all day.

Not sure what is bogue 510 disposable but I'm guessing its something like blu e cigs that are disposable?

The equipment you use can make a world of a difference regarding your end "satisfaction". When I first started vaping I started off with a basic Joye 510 kit. Just like you, I wasn't satisfied too much. Coming from 1/2 pack to whole pack of newports per day I guess I wouldn't be. Well...someone told me to try dripping, and to make the story short, I never looked back until recently. Dripping was so much better. The fresh and crispness of each inhale was really something else. I loved it! About 4-6 puff is all I really needed and if I did more it was simply because I wanted to:) Once I found the right juice it was game time.

Once I got used to vaping my tolerance level actually started getting lower. I didn't need as much after awhile and recently I switched to ego twist/vivi just to try something different. For me personally this new setup fit me just perfect. I guess I can say that I am now a light vaper since I can make my ego twist last me a whole day and a half before having to recharge.

Good luck with your new journey:)

I've never timed myself in my vaping--I vape until I'm satisfied then I stop vaping until I need to/want to vape again. Part of the problem you may be encountering is that vaping is quite different than smoking. The nicotine does not absorb into the lungs through vapor as well as smoke due to the size of the particulate (10 microns for vapor vs. 1 micron for smoke).

I would suggest upping your nicotine content and holding the vapor in your mouth longer before inhaling if you desire.

65%/35% Mix @ 18mg
Genesis Style Atomizer @ 1.2 Ohm

Usually a good 3-4 second puff with inhale will do it for me. I tend to take bigger pulls now than the first day or two when I started. I find them more satisfying and I don't go back for more over and over again like I used to.
The Genesis style attys are amazing too, was fortunate enough to have someone teach me how to do that.

Yes, me 2, roll my own and 10 -13 a day. As I needed to cut it out for health reasons, smoking that is, I started vaping @ 18mg then down to 12mg and now moving between 6 and 12mg. However when I felt I needed a bit extra, I would just chew nic gum. If I am out all day, I don't vape but use the gum; if I am home, whenever sitting, am vaping. This works well for me and notice improvement in health where I want it. I now vape about 3 mls a day, odd piece of gum and am a Happy Vaper, never tempted to go back to my rollies since I stopped which now must be about 8 mths. I do find for that time, I need a bit more - I pop in a gum.
Cheers, stick with and love the flavours, Vape On!
