I need a light bulb (lightbulb?) that looks tastes and smells exactly like a candle... can anyone help with this?

Also, I'm allergic to electricity I think as everytime I turn on my new light I break out in bumps and my eyes change.... what should I do?

As usual, noobs come in here and refuse to read all 400+ posts for the answers. Sighhhh. Here is the information you want... however as discussed in this thread already, we already know that low watts in the bulbs that look like candles won't work for you and you will just spend $1,000 on them each year because they burn out. The bulbs that work don't look like candles.

Huh? It’s your law, too (special applications are exempt).

Anyway, what do you think about my retro-mod and it’s >> 200 years old technoly?

But... but... that mod just did not really work!

Please notice where <that other member> placed the atomizer!

Welcome Piedlourde. Since you’re coming from analogs, you might perhaps wish to start off bulbing with some device that looks and feels very much like what you are using now?

By rule of thumb, however, the more it looks like a candle the less lumen will it deliver and the more you might be craving for light. Personally, I don’t care for those Lightning Everywhere candle-lookalikes any more. I’m just happy and satisfied some 60 Watt standard bulb for daily use. Anyway, I'm sure that you won’t fail, what ever bulbing device you're going to choose.

As for smelling like a candle, you can mod your bulb with this DIY method (also posted earlier!)

If you are having problems with your eyes, try these:

Hopefully this will help you see the light!

Wow... i CAN'T believe I read all that again this morning. LOL Back to wasting time on this thread again I guess! Awesome!

Sorry J0ker. That is last years mod. I use the ultimate in juice control to my bulb now. I will only use variable voltage. I've found it best to fade rather than use direct lines. By this time next year, everyone will use a Dimmer.

dimmer_switch_plate.jpg

The reason I'll only use a SCR dimmer switch anymore is because modern dimmers are built from silicon-controlled rectifiers (SCR) instead of potentiometers or variable resistors because they have higher efficiency. A variable resistor would dissipate power by heat (efficiency as low as 0.5). By switching on and off, theoretically a silicon-controlled rectifier dimmer does not heat up (efficiency close to 1.0).

One measure of the quality of the dimmer is the "rise time". The rise time in this context is the amount of time it takes within the cut part of the waveform to get from the zero-point crossover to the start of the uncut part of the waveform. A longer rise time reduces the noise of the dimmer and the lamp as well as extending the life of the lamp. Unsurprisingly, a longer rise time is more expensive to implement than a short one, this is because the size of choke has to be increased.

*end of technical rant that nobody ever understands but makes me feel superior in knowledge to everyone else*

I was so excited the first time I tried it six months ago, I had a true dim bulb moment... I'll never go back to flashlights. Next I'm getting a remote for my dimmer so I can fade out anywhere for stealth bulbing.

:p

I was waiting to unveil the new super cartomizer-light mod until I could get a few more ready for shipment. However, I see that you light-bulb-come-earlies are at it again so here is the first world-wide preview. They will be priced around $1,350,000 with an ECF only discount of 1%. PM me and I'll give you PP info. No mention of light bulbs, bulb-juice, or e-bulbs PLEASE.

Nice. Auto or Manual? Does it come with a dimmer?

Not really necessary as this is only for those who want the maximum TH with their bulbs.

These units are currently completely manual so there is absolutely no possibility of light leaks damaging bulb power source.

Ready for the PP info?

I'll soon be looking for beta tester for my AutoFeedBulb (AFB) if anyone is interested.

I'm really interested in being on your BetaTeam.
Is there a possibility of different shoes as I have very wide feet and this model doesn't look like it would fit comfortably.

We do offer discreet packaging for those who have TMM concerns. (TooMuchMail)
We also will offer a limited-time-only guarantee that spousal stink eye will be a thing of the past when they experience the results of a truly happy bulber in their midst.

I'll let you know- I have to check my lottery tickets first.

Also. I don't care much for the gunmetal. Can i get it in pink or purple? Since it'll be my first time buying from you can you give me an extra 99% off? Just to keep me as a customer?

The prototype image does truly show off some of the unique properties of this magnificent carto-bulb...it changes colors with the time of day. You should see it at night...wow!!!!!
So sorry about the NO on the 99% discount. I will talk with my co-bulbers and see if something can be worked out for your SECOND purchase, however.

Since you seem like such a nice prospective customer, I will include a free barrel of the lightening of your choice.
