I started vaping a couple of weeks back and being new to this, i don't go all out to convince people around me who smoke to convert but i do let them take a hit on my PV for those wanting feel what its like. I've met nothing but detraction from my close friends and even my younger brother whose quite a heavy smoker giving all sorts of excuses ranging from legality issues to bad experiences from people they know who've tried it (some of them sound grossly exaggerated).

Its up to them ultimately and hopefully after seeing how it can be of great benefit, perhaps they will reconsider.

I'm working on my aunt, but it seems futile. She wants it to taste like a cigarette, look like a cigarette, only wants to use it where she can't smoke cigarettes, and absolutely does NOT want to mess with juice :(. She bought a less-than-stellar ecig at a flea market in Las Vegas with a bass ackwards battery made for the sole purpose of only buying cartridges with that company with only 1 flavor/kind of crap in them. The company is VERY expensive. She has COPD. I don't know what else we can do; before going to Vegas, she tried our Volcano products (I have the Magma, Inferno, and Lavatube with tons of juices, clearos, cartos, attys, and tanks, e.g., plenty of variety), but still bought something out there even though my mom said she should talk to me some more before buying something there. Nothing I can do now :(.

Well, you might read about my experience... don't know if it will help, but it might give you hope that things may change with time, provided what she bought meets her requirements sufficiently that she uses it...

I've been sharing mine with my son, and I think he's likely to be 'grabbed' by one of the less-like-a-cigarette mods once I have a better idea which way to point him. ;)

I also have a friend who immediately wanted one after seeing mine at church and trying it briefly. I really would like to recommend something similar, but far less expensive, to her, but I want it to be good. Still waiting for some suggestions... :)

I converted two, but now it all of the sudden seems more difficult as everyone "knows" e-cigarettes are bad for you. In fact, someone just told me they strongly consider going back to cigarettes because "there's too much out there" about how dangerous e-cigs are. Me <-- furious

I feel you on this. The major Tabacco companies are probably loosing their mind relizing that they are loosing so many people to vaping. You know the companies are spending money to persuade the public that e-cigs are bad for you. Down with big Money! Muhaahahaha!!

It spreads like wildfire
I had these exact words in mind when I read this. I have converted 5 people. I know of others at my workplace who know people that vape, and they have converted others as well.
In my area, it is indeed spreading like wildfire.

After a 30 year habit of Tobacco I finally quit with a Halo G6 , great starter unit but going onto the Ego C as well...! Finally got my sister to try out the Halo and she loves it and got her to switch...One neighbor and one friend that always shows up both are now going to switch as well ! One at a time If the info is out there people will see how much better it is to Vape !

one so far, working on the second..
Many folks don't believe will work for them and they don't even try... and the initial cost scares them, which i don't understand since is, maybe, one week or so of regular cigs price.

Here in WA State my Cigs were almost 80.00 per carton and that was lasting me just over a week ...sometimes not..now that is scarey...so wish I had tried to switch sooner !

My stepson had serious surgery scheduled & doc said he had to quit smoking 2 weeks prior + 3 months after surgery for proper healing. Poor guy bought a grocery store disposable ecig & he was using it & doing as he was told. I knew he was a heavy smoker & was going to have difficulty when he started feeling better after the surgery. So I bought him a Kgo starter kit from DCV that came with cartos (not atomizer/cartridge) & about 8 boxes of prefilled cartomizers from various vendors. He's so very happy. Loves his Kgo. Said it was sooooo much better & closer to smoking. He's definately converted now. & I'm very pleased to have been able to help him get healthy.
