I was never a serious smoker, I smoked occasionally since I was 14 in stressful periods etc but then when I started more frequently I didn't like the idea so just began vaping.

For you pack a day ex-smokers, how many hits does it take to ease your cravings? (Wattage/Nic conch applicable)
If that vape never leaves your mouth to keep out them dirty cigs you will be making progress

I was a 2 PAD smoker. Started with an eGrip 20w V1.

The vaping was constant all day long. Not really chain vaping but constant. Took 2 weeks to finally beat the nasties.

Eventually became attracted to the more pocket friendly ego and Evod style. They work fine for maintaining my freedom.

But I'm fortunate to be able to still vape all day long any time I like.

Smoked a pack+ a day for 40 years. Vaped no for a bit over a year.
No longer crave smokes just vapes ;)

Very well put, we don't crave smokes anymore, we crave our vape. Get that stuck in your head and you are almost home!

Why even think about getting your nic fix from tobacco, you don't crave ciggs, you crave nic.......so.......

I've forgotten what a cigarette craving feels like. Now I crave my vape. Hit it as often as I need but don't keep up. Unfortunately, I just got a new Presa 100. It has a puff counter on it. Since I put the new battery in (last night just before walking dead) I've taken 827 puffs and the battery is a little less than 1/4 full at this point. I run Kayfuns at about 17.5 watts.

24mg juice is the accepted starting strength for normal vaping. If you are vaping high VG juice in a cloud atomizer you might find yourself getting dizzy from the nic hit. Most who chase clouds are around 6mg or lower.

Vape till you have to sit down and vary it from that point. :)
I smoked a PAD for 30 years and 12mg was making me feel like crap after a couple of days. 24mg is considered the standard for a heavy smoker, but 12 was too much for me and I settled at 6 which has been perfect for me.

Everyone is different so do what makes you feel best and keeps you off the smokes!

It also depends on how you vape. Mouth to lung vaping generally affects people less than direct lung hits. I've gotten a little dizzy doing direct lung hits with 3mg and 6mg juice because I'm not used to so much vapor. I've bought a couple of new tanks with free air flow and just had to see how much vapor they'd produce with a lung hit. I had to sit down after a few huge hits. :hubba:

Been vaping for over 3 years and the cravings went away for me a long time ago. I am at 4 mg nic and vape because I WANT too. When I am at work or unable to vape it doesn't bother me at all. At home I like to relax in my chair with my vape. Looking for a E Hookah to keep beside my recliner though!

Yep same here I vape because I want to well pretty much. Have not gone over 8-10 hours so far without vaping but even then not an urgent need like when I smoked. I vape around 15 ml/day at 3mg 50/50. All DIY.

I went an entire day without a vape, once. Well, it was from about 8 or 9 AM until a little after 5PM. The family wanted to go to a city block sized water park in Panama City and the entire park was non-smoking. I left my vape in a locker thinking I'd come back and stealth vape a little here and there.

I didn't think about it but once during the entire day. Then, I decided it was too far to walk and I forgot about it. I was vaping 24mg juice back then. I was amazed that I didn't have a hissy fit for nic.

Great advise, but use some caution. If you go at it too hard with a high nic juice, a nicotine OD is possible. I've done it and it's not nice. When smoking cigarettes, burning lungs and a taste like someone made a dog-doo bonfire in your mouth are usually sufficient to prevent this. If your vape is creamy and smooth and satisfying, then it's easy to get carried away.

I was a pk-2pk (depending on stress) a day and I wanted my fiance to quit smoking for his health (Extremely high BP overweight etc). I knew he couldn't quit if I didn't, so we found E-cigs on the infamous interwebz after trying one of those nasty gas station cig a likes. He was a 2 packer and if he ran out of his he got into mine:sneaky:.

We went online and found smokelessimage.com. We started out on the little stick batteries with 24mg of nic. Fast forward 3 yeas and we have MVP's and still vape 24mg. We didn't want to quit the nic just the stinkies.

As for how many puffs to destress/get rid of cravings.... as many as it takes. ;)

TL;DR we vape 24mg constantly and take as many puffs as necessary to keep off the smokes.:thumbs:
