"How many is too many?"

When the money you spend on your APVs is taking money away from other things you need/want.

It's a new hobby that you're (rightfully) excited about. Not that I'm trying to offer relationship advice, but how about trying something along the lines of

"I used to spend XX dollars a month on cigarettes, and I'd like to spend YY% of that amount on vaping to build up a collection before the FDA slams the door on vaping. I want to keep vaping so I can stay off cigarettes."

Or something along those lines.

I live to have a pleasure from living. My spending is arranged to maximize the pleasure. I do not see any need to compare spending on vaping to spending on smoking. Smoking is behind now. Not relevant.

By the way, I spend (relatively) little on vaping. I just have other priorities. OK, I just do not need fancy things, I prefer low wattage vaping, and it is really cheap. But if somebody's is getting the great pleasure collecting mods, then why not?

Everyone at my house has 3 or more each... each one has a different tank, which uses different liquids/flavours instead. I have two that are my dailies, and two that are for my drippers.

I'll probably be getting a few few mods at some point for other tanks, having to unscrew the tanks over and over are what wear out the connections, so I look at it as an investment to keep my gear working better/longer.

I don't go crazy with expensive mods, but still, I wouldn't want to wear out or damage any of it regardless of price.. last thing you'd want is wearing out a connector and having both the tank and mod damaged, as even cheap, if you enjoy something, you don't want to have to throw it out.

How many is too many?

I have no idea, but after reading this thread, I'm thinking my 7 are not enough!

But it has brought something else to mind. Some have quite a few and use all of them (that's my mod use strategy :D) resulting in "lighter use" of each mod. Some have quite a few and put some away for future use resulting in "heavier use" of those in rotation. Would there really be any difference in total life of all current mods?????

Have her read up on what the FDA is doing to us and maybe she will understand that it is best to have lots of backups. My hubby has told me to get whatever I think I will need to continue vaping as long as I want to and since I intend to continue vaping for the rest of my life I have stocked up well.
Mine said the same thing. You and I have very nice, caring hubbys

A bad neighbor stole my 30watt isticks (a pink one and a blue one) while I was having a health crisis and I couldn't defend my stuff. I got more and more angry about it and I spent over triple the amount I spent originally to replace them, but I couldn't deal with not having them anymore. And yes, i do want to report them for the theft but it's going to be my word against theirs, and they have a lot of friends.

OP, you didn't mention if you DIY your liquid. Showing the savings to my wife between store bought liquid and my DIY was the evidence I (she) needed to understand and accept my monthly vape purchases.

I am just starting to dabble into the DIY juice . My wife kinda took that part over , she has delusions of grandeur of starting a ejuice biz

This would have been a great idea 5 years ago, not so much now that deeming rules are in place.
