Not really. Was spending $12.00 per week on RYO REZ . When I researched vaping and what I would need I figured on spending about $100.00 tops. Eleven days in and I've spent about $500.00 but it's all good cuz the results have been astounding to say the least and I have enough supplies to last a lonnnggg time and I get to give friends some free juice :toast:

I spent WAY more in the beginning. First I bought a too-weak too-annoying very slim model (M402) and spent a lot buying spares and PCC and stuff and then upgraded to the longer batteries and a new PCC to fit those and then before my first 30 days I was looking for something better. So I bought the two most popular slim minis (510 manual and KR808D-1 manual) and lots of spares and PCCs etc. THEN I upgraded to longer batteries on the KR808D-1 plus spares (and would have done the same with 510 except the nice roomy plastic PCC is only for the short 510's so I just have one great mega xl manual 510 battery). 3+ charging cables for every model I own too plus 4-port USB to AC adapters for home and work. And LITERALLY boxes full of juice (Plano 3530 latching boxes), The DIY stuff ahahah.

Then just when I felt settled with what I had, some part of my brain says I should drop my nicotine level (right after I ordered another $40 of juices at the old level)... That happened a few times.

After about 6 months I added a big battery model and a mod box and other assorted stuff, but I still use the 510 manuals and KR8 manuals w/ cartos and carry both with me to work.

NOW finally I am on 4mg nic and have favorite juices which I buy during sales, buy some more cartomizers once in a while, an occasional replacement battery or 1-2 bottles of juice to try. and I do think I am spending less than the near $60 a week I spent on cigarettes. But I am a shopaholic so it's hard. haha

Here's my 2 cents on that matter ,

At first before you find the right PV for you and the right juice you might spend allot, I for exemple spent around 500-600$ to find my perfect setup and liquid, but since then my monthly upkeep is around 50-60$. I live in canada smoked 1 1/2 pack a day at 10.51$/pack , so you do the maths.... 400$/month in analogs versus 50-60$ now. Of course we all want to collect PV's and get evey new toy in town, so it can end up being costly depending on how reasonable you are I guess!

I seem to have been staying about even so far. It's the "Oooh, had I been smoking I would have spent THIS much this week. What new thing should I get with the money I saved?"

I was looking into rolling my own to save some money right when the prices went through the roof for loose cig tobacco. With the added hassle of having to actually sit and roll even with a machine, it just wasn't worth it.

So, I haven't saved any money yet, but that wasn't the main reason to switch anyways. I am hoping that PVs don't end up going the way roll your own tobacco went a couple of years ago and get taxed up to an equivalent cost.

That's my story and I'm sticking to it.

Save? We can save money doing this?!? :p

In all honesty, yeah you can save some money over the cost of analogs in the long run if you just find what you like and stick with it.

Myself, I suffer far too much from "ooh, shiny!" syndrome and am always buying new gear and new juices to try ;-) All total, I've probably not spent about $1300 on analogs, but I'm rapidly approaching $3000 on vaping! The end result of this, however, is that I could vape for another several months and not run out of juice and I could easily not buy another carto/atty/battery/etc for probably twice that long. So maybe I have technically saved money if I think of it that way :p

Another way of looking at it is that I don't really care if I save money. I did care at first, but not so much anymore. My quality of life has improved and I have a new hobby (tinkering with mods and DIY-ing my own juices), and those are two things vaping definitely has over smoking in my book :vapor:

Somewhere out there
Well I just figured up that I have saved $140.00 in one month not buying smokes, so I guess I am saving money. But oh wait my new hobby is ecigs and that cost me over $600.00, so ok I subtract $140 from $600= $460 so yes I am am saving money by not smoking and that helps me save money on vaping :) LOL How's that for logic :) ha ha ha ha bnrk

Oh Canada
I've about broken even now. It's been 3 weeks of vaping and zero analogs. But I wasn't a heavy smoker and I haven't gone crazy with my vaping gear......yet. There are a Sh!tload of cool looking things out there that I want to buy, flavors to try. It's going to be hard to resist the temptation. I can easily see how this can become an expensive hobby for sure, I've just been good at restraining myself so far.

First off i cant beleive how little some of you spend on smokes? I can definitly see vaping costing alittle more for some of you. Here in Phoenix between the price of smokes and the outragous taxes they add to them it can get qwite expencive. I spent between $480.00 and $550.00 a month for smokes for my wife and I. So that leaves a pretty large budget to work worth compared to smoking. Im sure some months Ill spend more than other months... Right now Im a head, next month who knows. But it seems like even if I bought a huge mod a month and a boat load of what nots, Id still think we'd be ahead and not smoking to boot.

That works out to about $5760.00 to $6600.00 I was spending on cigs. a year!!!!!
