How many people actually saved money compared to buying cigarettes?

While I only have been vaping for a little under a month I have saved about $40 off my cigarrette budget for the month. I have spent $120 on 510-t starter (2 pack) an extra atomizer extra tanks and enough e-juice for two months. I would have spent $160 on analogs. Having said that, If i wasn't such a tight wad, I would be going nuts upgrading to the eGo-t... E-cigs for me are a way to save money and a compromise between me and my non-smoking partner. The saving money means I have to wait another two weeks before I can start slowly building my eGo collection...

Though I have spent a considerable amount on devices and the accessories for them it is still a small amount well under what I spent in a single year for cigarettes being $8.20 in my state!
Just check out my signature in my profile.
Now that is a whole lot of cash to spend per year on cigs!

I think I spent about the same amount during the last year but I smoked the Indian cigs that were $2 a pack. Most of my cash spent went to trying a million different flavorings for my DIY juice:)

Now that I have a flavor I love to make, it only costs me 25 cents a day to vape!

But even if it cost more I would do it. My emphysema is SO much better and I can breathe really well now:) And I no longer smell terrible and have a gravelly voice:)

I think I'm into the savings now. I'm happy with my second e-cig set up after wasting some money on the first, and I'm doing DIY, so my running costs aren't too bad. My signature doesn't reflect the money I'm also NOT spending on nicotine gum, which was probably somewhere between $30-$50/month (using the gum when smoking wasn't convenient).

Well, I am three weeks into vaping and spent $250 and I'm not done yet and will be ordering Riva 510 real soon. Had I done any research all this expense could have been avoided but who knew e-cigs were so darn elaborate???? For Christ sake I didn't know they had 500 different models to choose from. Huge mistake and costly on my part.

Yes, I can see this being very addicting always wanting to upgrade to get that elusive hit, you know the perfect one that never seems to happen. Lol !

In the long run vaping will be cheaper because I was spending $200 a month, $2400 a year on analogs.

I noticed people here have huge collections and tried many different types of PVs. Seems kind of hard to think people are actually saving buying these compared to cigs.

I have a feeling this will become an addictive hobby that I'll spend more money on than cigs :p

Well if you figure mods cost just over the price of a carton of smokes but last forever I would have to disagree. I'm right at $45.00 a month for my vaping supplies which is about a half a carton of stinkies so I'm way ahead.

If you check out my sig you will see that I have been vaping awhile and have saved over $3000 in cig money. I just reordered juice tonight and it will last at least 2 months (2 of us vaping) and it cost $150. If you add in part that I order usually every 2-3 months and they cost me around $100 more. It costs more to start up cause you are not sure what will work for you and you do have to do some trial and error.

So if you figure it all out I am saving money and my doctor and cardiologist are very happy!

Got about $325 total into all my vaping supplies to date since March 2011. Maybe spend $20/month going forward. I mix all my own juice and that saves me a boatload of cash. According to my calculator, I would have spent $1150 on cigarettes in that same time period. So yeah, Vaping is saving me serious money over the long haul. More importantly, my calculator also tells me I haven't smoked 4,509 cigs that I would have otherwise.

My sig on my local forum runs pretty much as "money saved = hahaha! that was a joke, right?". I'm actually still trying to work out where the better part of $800 has gone... I've only got a 510/T addons/single eGo batty/variable power mod.... a dozen or so juices on their way, 20 or so concentrates and maybe 30 atty's/carto's/tanks.... hmmm, ok... maybe that's where it went. Definitely think I should be right for a while.

Maybe....

(but seriously? it doesn't seem that much when I see others chat about their stuffs)
