When I smoke cigarettes, I use MTL. But with vapes, I can't do it properly. The amount of air I can hold in my mouth is way less than DTL. Do you have the same problem with MTL?

Many people vape MTL the same way they smoked MTL. There were no big smoke clouds that way, and there won't be big vapor clouds that way either.

If by "I can't do it properly" (MTL) you mean you aren't getting big clouds, so you think you're doing something wrong...you're not. If you want the clouds you need to try DTL vaping.

I know you weren't asking me, but I personally use 3mm diameter 7 wraps of 26ga SS316L coils at around 0.5 ohms in Temp Control at 435F (224C). Single coil tanks.

I do variations of MTL and DL but the 26awg SS at 7 wraps makes an outstanding coil.

What wattage and ohm do you use?
Hi,
I dont know if any of this is useful, I just tweak the watts as I require during the day.
I try to keep the watts lower, below 12, but occasionally just to get a quicker nic hit I will notch up the watts
I mainly vape flavourless and use VG mixed with 5-15% distilled water.
I use a few different tanks and coils. These are my main tanks.
1.5ohm coils / 6-10w.
1.6ohm coils / 8-13w
0.8ohm coils/ 9-18w
0.7ohm coils / 10-20w
0.5ohm coils / 12-32w

I was surprised to find what a big difference a smaller bore drip tip actually makes. Obviously, as others have stated, the biggest thing is reducing your airflow, as it will concentrate the amount of vapor coming in. But I definitely notice a difference between a big wide bore drip tip and a smaller one.

Airflow and drip tips will be your friend. I personally loathe DL and wide bore driptips and I'm glad I found that out early.

Your wattage and resistances don't seem strange (well some of them) for a reasonable MTL vape (with the right airflow and wattage and setup of tank).

I have found that for me, while I can sometimes make a tank or setup designed for DL work (with the right airflow, wattage, drip tip etc.) that more "dedicated" MTL tanks work better for me overall.

You mention resistances, not actual tanks, what are the names of the tanks you are using. That may help with instructions, although basically yes, if you are in search of a MTL draw (which is what I seek) I do best with MTL atomizers, at reasonable wattages and etc. It sounds like you may not quite be "ready" for DL atomizers or at least not really ready to use them the way they are intended, high volume of vapor sucked directly into the lungs.

If that is correct, now might be a good time to ask about MTL specific tanks and seeing if you have some/can get some, if that's your comfort level right now.

Best of luck,

Anna
