The Container Store near me sells different sizes of plastic tubes with caps in the travel section. One size perfectly fits an 18650 and another perfectly fits an 18490 (that I also use for 18350s). I bought handfuls of these and other sizes that I also use to hold small tanks and other vaping gear.
I found larger clear tubes online to store and protect my PVs, but that's another matter.

At $1.25 or so for plastic batt cases, no reason not to have at least 5 or 10.
