As soon as I can get enough free time and finish the 2 to 3 nimh mods that I've either started or have picked up parts for, I'll post some pics.
Curvy, is this flashlight using nimh batteries? I have one on the drawing board to be made. If I can get some time![]()

You won't be sorry. Its an easy build, fun to do. The only downside is being bitten by the modding bug, and all the dust collecting on my "store bought" PV's![]()
OK, mine's finally finished and I'm pleased to say that it's producing enough vapor to make my living room look like an opium den. VERY pleased, and you can't really beat the price!
And the vapor, and the flavor, and the ability to grab spare parts locally and fix it yourself (if it's ever needed).
ThePuck!! Where ya been?Vapin' away on mine now; actually, at this point, the only PV I use is my Puck(s).
I tried the puck but had a massive voltage drop between the batts and my atty 5.3 volts down to 3.6 volts, why was this?
I frankly just don't understand what makes the puck so good. But it sure hits some kind of "sweet spot".
I have to be honest, I've got loads of "bought" PV's, but nothing else I have, has as good flavor and vapor as the puck. I used it exclusively for about 6 weeks, and if I have the time to drip, it's still the best. I can't imagine ever being without one.
On top of that, it's the only PV I have that I don't feel the need to have another one just for backup. I wound up with enough extras when I made it to almost make another one. There's nothing that can go wrong with it that I can't fix in 10 minutes.
Hmmm. That reminds me, I messed it up a couple of weeks ago (SuperGlue Malfunction™) and had to use up the "extra" 4 AAA battery box I had. Guess I'll roll over to RS and pick up another one![]()
I can't help raving about it, that's why there's a link to this thread in my signature. And why, every few weeks, I come back here and thank ThePuck again.
