How to drip from 8mL glass flavor vials from Wizard labs?

I appreciate the pricing that Wizard Labs has for its DIY flavorings. What I find a hard time with when making test samples, is dripping individual drops in an efficient manner. It's just a glass vial with no dripper attachment. Is there a known way to add some sort of device that will allow droplets or should I keep dipping a paper towel in the vial and squeezing the juice out...

That seems like a big waste of flavoring, and yes there is a much better way. Purchase a 1 cc syringe with a 22 gauge needle. Fill the needle with 1 ml of flavor and and empty it back into the orignal flavor vial but count how many drops are in that 1 mil syringe as you put it back into the vial. This way you can actually measure in the future and duplicate recipes that taste good to you. Paper towels really aren't a good idea as they contain unkown recycled materials that will contanimate your juice. By some syringes or droppers and get some baselines to start with. You will save alot flavor this way.

try using measurements in mL instead of drops? it's more accurate anyway. you can get a box of 100 1 mL syringes for around 10 bucks on amazon. or you can buy bulk pipettes there too, if you really prefer to drip.

only measure out exactly how much you need. squirt any excess back into the vial, then you can squirt it all into your juice.

Drop size of liquids depends on the vicosity, dropper hole size, and other properties of the liquid. I generally only use syringes, rarely drops, for all liquids I use in DIY. Getting the drop size wrong for 100 mg nic can really change the nic level!

You can always put the flavoring in a soft dropper bottle. Most syringe needles fit nicely into the dropper hole. Stick the needle in, invert the bottle, and draw up exactly how much you need into the syringe.

I've ordered many flavors from WL, so I understand about the vials. I transfer all my flavors to 10ml dripper bottles. However, I still recommend using a syringe to measure the ingredients. It's more accurate that counting drops. And yes, it's easy to insert the needle into the dripper tip to extract just the right amount.

I just keep it in it's vial and use a 1mil syringe .use e-juice calculator and measure everything in mils .I understand that .005 mils is one that I just do one drop with the free pipettes I get with my order

I always get droppers with the 30ml juices from my favorite vendor because they come in glass bottles. I use those to measure all of my drops so that I have consistency.

There should be a plastic insert of some kind to make these drippers ive seen them on other things before. they are recessed and drops come out. I think like on a vanilla flavor bottle from store or something. No it was food coloring bottle. the Lid wouldn't fit any more though but if you could find the drips and lids for these.. wizard should carry them. I do prefer the Simplicity of Dripping

You probably will. If you don't want to place another order and wait for shipping, you could get a 1ml syringe from a veterinarian or a pharmacy. I haven't tried to get one from a pharmacy, but I'm pretty sure I've seen people say that they have. When I started DIY, I didn't have a small syringe, and I was able to get one from a local vet.

I bloody hate recipes that measure in drops and never tell you what they're using to drop with, what viscosity, room temp, body temp, forced drop or gravity drop, size, inner & outer of dropper device, rounded, blunt or sharp tip, did they shake the drops or let them free fall etc...
A "drop" is NOT a repeatable measurement. 1.3ml IS a repeatable measurement anywhere in the world.

Yes you need syringes or pipettes. Pipettes are a pia to clean, so I never use them.
Oh, another ECF member had this awesome tip!
Wrap a piece of packing tape (clear) around your syringes. This keeps the numbers from coming off!

I like to mix 10ml test batches with 0% nic. The math is easy & you don't waste any nic.

What you are referring to is the drip insert for or "euro dropper". They are the standard for essential oils and etc. and ,of course, in Europe. If you must use drops instead of mls you could always salvage an old bottle from a neutral flavor of pre-made juice. But I advise what I am bout to suggest below...

The best solution?

Ebay.

Yes, you will want 1 ml syringes. And you can get them in semi-bulk from Ebay for cheeeeep. Usually w/out shipping charges. You just gotta look and be patient.

Remember, if you vend on Ebay, sometimes, the seller won't have access to their funds until you actually receive an item. Which is good for you, because it's a quick(er) solution than a reorder from a Vaping supplier with the accompanying shipping charges; and you usually get it quick as or quicker than a reorder from a vaping vendor. Sometimes.

I, personally, don't like pipettes for precise measurement. A 1ml syringe, if it's a decent one (like B-D) will give you measurements to the hundredth of a ml. Pipettes have given me nothing but slop. They just are no fun for me

And about the drop thing ? Well, what Wizzlefits said. Exactly.

Re: the syringe, make sure it's Luer-Lock and not just "Luer".

If you really want to do it correctly, I prefer glass syringes (again gotta be "Luer-Lock"). They are easier to wash, there's no rubber to worry about wearing out, the measurements are etched so they never wear off, it's just easy all the way around.

I recall a picture here I saw with of a guys home lab with a single 1ml syringe rubber banded around each of his flavoring bottles (They were like 30 or 50ml). I thought it was pretty trick, because you'd never have flavor cross-contamination.

Either I'm daring or just plain stupid, but I measure out 10ml batches of all recipes I think up. That way, I get to vape a few tanks straight to really get to know the recipe (and any changes that are needed), and the syringes get put to good, accurate use. Besides things like ACV or lemon juice (1drop per 5mls), I've never used drops and never will, it's just not accurate enough.

As others have said, buy some cheap syringes and some small plastic bottles. Trying to work with a very small number of bottles or any equipment won't do you good in the long run with DIY.
