Other thing you can do is use a fast setting adhesive and just hold it in place. Thanks, hunny Bunny, Kas, and the Bronzed. I'll see what I've got around the house in rubbers.![]()

I didn’t know that either.I use Gorilla Glue for everything. I think they make one for ceramic and glass now but not sure. I use the original on anything that is cracked or broken. I am so not a fixit that for the longest time, I didn't know the area needed to be wet before applying the glue. It is a wonder anything held. Guess I should read directions.
You’d be surprised.Yippee, I could contribute something.
Thanks, Rosesensie! Is the Gor Glue "fast" setting? Or would I have to hold the damm thing for hours.![]()
For anyone cursed with a garbage disposal, here’s the best cleaning method. I don’t use mine in the way they can be used, but it still clogs, has to be run and stinks up the joint!
- Sprinkle in half a cup of baking soda.
- Slowly pour in a full cup of white vinegar.
- Let it bubble for a few minutes.
- Heat about 2 quarts of water in a pot until it’s nearly boiling.
- Pour in the hot water.
- Let it sit for 10 - 15 minutes.
- Run some cold water for a minute then run the disposal.
- Do this every week or two to keep the icky smell away.
Good morning, fixers. I had some stuff hauled away and forgot the wheelbarrow was near the pile so it got wheeled away. If you can fix that short of my buying a new one....![]()
Surely someone can break something soon so we'd all have a go at fixing it.
Our precious Robin (RIP) would have loved this thread. She led the league every year in breaking stuff.Surely someone can break something soon so we'd all have a go at fixing it.
