It is time for us to stand together as consumers.

How can we avoid unfair and excessive taxes?

Taxation is inevitable. The cards are stacked against us. Government officials, Big Pharma & Big tobacco don't want us to vape. They want us to smoke, pay high taxes & slowly die, while spending our life savings battling ailments from the poison contained in cigarettes.

We all know vaping shouldn't be categorized with tobacco. We all see the train coming to run us over.

Here are the questions we should all be asking...

What are we going to do about it?
How are we going to get around this?
How can we protect our rights as consumers?

Our generation put the music industry in its place by creating a system of checks and balances with MP3 downloads.

It's time we stop complaining & start uniting to come up with solutions.

Long-term? I already have at least a year's worth of nicotine stashed, maybe a year and a half, and I'm planning to get more while i still can; hopefully by the end of 2015 I can have at least twice what I have now, so 2-3 yrs' worth. If the politicians haven't gotten their heads out of their butts about vaping by then, it's time for REVOLUTION!

I really don't think they can legislate to the point where DIY ingredients will become impossible, even difficult to get. tax nicotine? fine, even if they tax it 100% thats still like $60 for a years worth of nicotine. ban online sales of nicotine? Absinthe was illegal in the US for a while, however there was nothing stopping you from buying aroma therapy oils that just happened to look, taste, and have the same effect as absinthe.

I agree. It is time for us to revolt. I'm going to start stocking up on nic, too. How long does nic hold for? Can we freeze it?

Are there any areas exempt from taxes to order from online?

Nic`d Up in Oklahoma!
Ya, Id like to think the US has about hit its limit of BS, but every couple of days I run into a few lo-fo`s and don`t cares.

Like has been said, if vapors keep increasing at the rate they are, they may have a hard time getting us all to swallow the crap the pull out of there .....

Two things can stop us, although we may have no alternatives. Revolution, or having to learn Farsi.

I've heard up to 4 yrs, maybe more. Absolutely store it in the freezer, though it doesn't actually freeze, it's in PG (antifreeze y'know ;)). Or it could be in VG, which also doesn't freeze. Dark glass; amber or cobalt, and I've heard the caps with the conical inserts work best to keep air out, which is what would degrade it.

Right now the only taxes are sales taxes, and if you buy from a vendor in a different state than the one you live in, you don't even pay those.

(the gov't that can't even figure out how to enforce sales tax on the internet is going to try and regulate something else??? RIIIIIGHT.)

One thing I have learned since being on this forum in the last couple years is Vapors are very intelligent and very resolute. Many of us have been downtrodden through the years because of smoking. I think people are becoming well aware of whats happening in our country, and more so just by reading the legislative forums. The games that are played with ecigs have been played many times before with Big Agriculture, Big Pharma and Big Tobacco. It's about time people wake up... snooze and you lose.

BT isn't really the bad guy here -- for the price of every pk of smokes, BT gets maybe 25% of that, maybe less -- the rest goes to the everlovin gov't. BT is getting into the act themselves, even if they are using 5 yr old tech, but the gov't is freaking out about all the lost taxes, and lost Master Settlement revenue, and tanking Tobacco Bonds. Poor babies don't even know how to balance a checkbook, and they think they can tell us what's good for us? I think they better sweep around their own backdoor. And learn some fiscal responsibility while they're at it.

Well said, Klynnn! We are a smart & resolute community.

If we take matters into our own hands & approach this as a movement we will not lose. We will win by using our intellect to continuously find work-arounds & sharing our strategy.
