Doesn't matter what should be done or not done. It is what it is.

I actually just read other posts on the topic here...

There has to be another option out there. Perhaps an herbal extract?

OK, that freezer/genny stuff was all over the top maybe - but:
a) Plan for the worst and hope for the best
b) Never believe any politician, their job is to make their job easier, not your life.
And if you have some land and want to grow your own, then consider the pituri plant (Duboisia Hopwoodii) as well as tobacco plants. Some cultivars have the same amount of nicotine as tobacco plants. As with any solution of this type, extracting nice pure nicotine alone from a vegetable source is a whole 'nother story![]()
Do any plants other than tobacco produce enough nicotine to be a viable alternative source? That would be a work-around to avoid looming taxation.

Our rights matter in a court of law. The relevant question here is... Are the bans legal?

That's generally the pov of a thug. Isn't the government pretending that they aren't one?
No one has filed a lawsuit to challenge them, as far as I know. I guess CASSA is too busy...
Yup. Where is CASSA on all this? A challenge based on zero-Nic Vaping should be an easy win.

You can't argue 0-nic vaping, because it looks no different than vaping with nicotine. .
Time for the Tractor Supply to step up and offer "USP grade 99.9% pure nicotine insecticide" (wink wink). Guaranteed to kill even the biggest ANTZ. They already carry the PG gallons, so adding that and a USP VG Mane and Coat. [emoji14]

Good one [emoji2]. I guess we shouldn't be allowed to drink soda in cups at public places because it could look like we're having mixed alcohol beverages. You mean like that general ban of non-alcoholic beverages in public because they look like the alcoholic ones?
Not in quantities which are viable for e-liquid...
From what I've figured so far a 1.25 oz pouch of pipe tobacco processed with about 12 oz of VG will yield about
3 mg nicotine in the resulting NET.
It's viable but ya still gotta either buy the tobacco or grow it and process it.
You can buy whole leaf but ya still gotta cure it and process it.
In my case I'd still add nicotine
You can't argue 0-nic vaping, because it looks no different than vaping with nicotine. I am shocked an organization which claims to protect vaping hasn't challenged vaping prohibitions, other than on a forum, rather than in the courts...
You can buy a pound of 'pipe' tobacco for $15. Seems like an easy and cheap solution...
I was noticing that the thread was becoming derailed. Sorry about that.
It really depends on the legislation being written. E juice in itself could be the only thing taxed, so sellers could just ship out the flavor, the filler, and the nicotine out to the buyer as seperate commodities and the buyer then mixes it together for his e juice.
However if nicotine extract is taxed, you can stock and preserve but it's not a liable solution. If nicotine extract is used in ways that are not relevant to e liquid, one can argue that a sin tax on a commodity that's intended purpose is not for e liquid should not have sin tax.
Of course, if someone did legitimate research of the long term effects of vaping on the human lungs and body, that would for sure sway government opinion. And that means a lot of testing.
In all fairness. Organizations like CASAA do inform the public in most cases, about upcoming legislation.
They have calls to action and some organizations i know of contract lobbyists.
However whether anybody has challenged legislation in court I don't know/
