let's say everything goes to .... and a lot of things are outlawed or at least put in a chokehold... what would you do to prepare, assuming you wanted to keep vaping for as long as you could? are there certain things that would be harder to regulate than others (say, raw vg or plain mechs)? would you snap up as many mods as you could in the havoc?

I'm honestly not trying to be negative, I just want to know how to keep vaping and I'm not as clued in as I should be.

I already have at least a 5 to 7 year stockpile of hardware (clearos, tanks, extra coils, etc...), so I'm good to go there (I went nuts and went on a 'paranoid' spending spree for a while). But I honestly don't see them ever being able to ban mods, I mean, when it comes right down to it, they're just hunks of metal with batteries. The e-liquid that contains nicotine is an entirely different story, though. If they ever outright make it illegal to manufacture it, sell it, and buy it, of course, I'll just study up on DIY methods for nic-free, because nothing is worth going to prison for. But that's a worst case scenario, I think. I honestly believe that the worst that will happen is them taxing e-liquid, heavily, to make up for the lost revenue in tobacco sales. I can live with that.

I've been stocking up on cartos and plan to purchase a few additional tanks. I purchased my ProVari because I knew it would last as long as I take care of it. I've also been stepping down the nic levels in my juices. If I can get down to 0 then I'll probably walk away. I agree with the above statement. The government will probably tax it into the ground.

E-liquid is the only thing I'm concerned about. However, I wouldn't go crazy and buy a nicotine stockpile. If and when they pass new regulations, it will be a few months before they're actually enacted, giving vendors a chance to sell of the rest of their stock.

I already have a couple mechanical mods which last indefinitely. Batteries will be legal, therefore no problem there. I have a bunch of RDAs and a couple tanks/RBAs so not too concerned on that front either.

When I first started vaping the FDA was involved in a lawsuit, customs was seizing shipments, and the end of vaping was hanging over our heads. Because the FDA lost that battle is probably the only reason that I'm still alive, and I doubt that I'm the only one in that boat.

A person is free to go as far as they wish with preparedness, or is free to stick their head as far into the sand as they wish.

The only things I would ever have to purchase in the future would be batteries for my flashlight, and supplies to make candy.

Don't be prepared to settle, be prepared to FIGHT. Take the gloves off and punch the FDA in the effing nose. :)

Me personally, if it comes to what I think it will if the FDA (along with Pharma and Big Tobacco) win. I expect a limited supply of crappy products to be legally available. There will be a black market but I would not be surprised if the US Government put a stop to shiny tubes coming from China.

My plan if that sad day does come is to use up the supply and quit vaping altogether. I started vaping to quit cigs... if they make it difficult for me to vape, I will just quit. By then (a couple years from now), I should only be vaping for taste, not nicotine. I have close to 1000ml of juice in my office now. I'll be ok for a few days.
