Show breeders ruin great breeds, glad you saved him. I was hesitant to get my light colored golden because I know many breeders put that feature above the health of the dog.

I agree. They want the "perfect" look and don't care about anything else. Drives me nuts. He is a great dog, laid back with the coolest personality.

I walked in to see what they had and the door to the kill room was open. They already killed her mom and siblings. I told them I don't live in their city, let me take her. The guy laughed (seemed to enjoy killing them) and said no. Screw a stupid law like that, and anyone that supports it in any way, shape or form.

I've pulled dogs from that shelter. Can't say as I met anyone who enjoyed killing any animal, in fact, they were very helpful and I didn't see anyone going thru the shelter into the locked area.

Killing dogs for idiotic reasons isn't a job, it's a crime. Sick piece of trash seemed to be enjoying it. I met with several cops over that incident, every one of them thanked me. I asked them why they didn't do their job and arrest the mayor that made the stupid rule. Not one could answer that.

I haven't been on much because our family had 2 deaths in the same day. ( My uncle and hubbys uncle died hours apart) We are traveling now (7 hour drive) and stopped to eat so I'm posting from my tablet, yay for free wifi..lol.

I am back home from our short but sweet wedding at the court house. The judge did such a good job. We do not have a honeymoon planned yet, but we had a great day together today, and are now playing a game together I know ....what nerds! Lol We have been together so long, and we have felt married for a while now. I appreciate everyone's thoughtful comments We had a wonderful day together!

It's like that in Detroit. They have an outstanding rule that any pit bull that gets put into the shelter is put to sleep. While it's not illegal to own a pit bull in the city, the shelter is not allowed to adopt any out.
