So, the results are in, and they're not good. I don't get to go home tomorrow, or even next week. Maybe in a month, if I'm healthy enough after the chemotherapy. I have bone-marrow cancer, something called acute myelogenous leukemia or AML. It is curable, they say, but the treatment itself is pretty rough and its only 40% effective. If that doesn't work, I'm looking at blood transfusions and bone marrow transplants. And if they can't cure it, they say I've only got a year, maybe two left. Jeebus, I'm only 36 years old! I'm not ready for this...

I am so terribly sorry to read this. Sending you lots of healing vibes, good energy and prayers! (((HUGS))) for you.

Also .. you can go home... Whenever you wish. Please keep in mind that the doctors work for you. They are not your bosses, they do not pay your bills. Please make your own choices.

Amraann, it would be very dangerous if not suicidal if a person on that type of chemo left the hospital and went home, before it was safe.

Also, here's some photos from the B2B (business to business) event at ECC yesterday.:D

Very nice! We thought about going today, but it's supposed to be really hot! I don't do 115 degrees very well ;)

That's bad news bwh79 but try to stay strong. My wife was 36 when she was diagnosed with breast cancer. She's now a ten year survivor. I'm going to pray that you can beat it just like she did.

The contest was open to anyone that clicked on the link and submitted their name and an email address wasn't it?
I know I posted on FB and I think a couple of folks I know entered because I had a grand total of a whopping 13 points.:lol:
I know two of them are not ECF member, but they are vapers.

As someone posted earlier in this forum, I thought this contest was open to ECF members only, not the general public. Not long after I entered I got an email saying I had xx number of points, but I had no clue who the email was from, since I didn't recognize the sender and there was no company name or website listed. Thought it was a scam of some sort.

Yes that's the same type email I got after I entered. Lucky I always look at the spam folder before hitting the empty button.
