Some of us Harley riders like to say HD doesn't stand for Harley Davidson, it stands for Hundred Dollars. So here I am, all in on another hundred dollar hobby. In just over two weeks of vaping, I've been a real "bull in a china shop" to the tune of many, many hundreds of dollars. I think many guys would be happy with a good two unit starter pac and be content for many many months. But oh no, not me! I just got done placing my second hundred and something dollar order from Vapor Phoenix, I've had 3 or 4 hundred plus purchases from the CigNot retail store near me, another hundred or so to various juice suppliers, and another hundred plus to Wizard Labs for DIY supplies. Something fishy here, I thought this was supposed to cost less than real cigs!

Ah, but there's good news! I've done a good job stocking up on all the hardware. A whole bunch of batteries, tips, tanks, clearo's, carto's, and spare parts. Enough DIY juice supplies to mix my own for many, many months. I think I'm at the point I won't need to spend another dime for most of 2013, so the savings will eventually come.

The only challenge will be fighting the urge to step up to a badaxe APV/Mod kit!

Must be strong....................................

Most of us went through the same thing you're going through when we first started vaping. Once I found a rig that worked the way I wanted each and every time I settled down a lot on my spending. Now I just buy batteries, atty's, and diy supplies about once a year. The temptation to buy another mod hits once in a while, but why should I change something that's working so well.

I figure I am basically breaking even with my smoking expenditures. I used to spend $200 plus a month on smoking. I have managed to spend that on vaping so 5 months @ $200 a month. Yeah, add me to the thousand dollar club. The good news is that I am only smoking a cig two or three times a day now and I almost forgot to smoke even one yesterday:)

Got to luv the Harley habit, spent more on my bike than the nicest vehicle we own

Kinda in the same boat with you, though you definitely have taken the purchasing up a few notches, looking forward to my DIY supplies coming next week and experimenting, really want to nail a really good Atomic Fireball for my wife and a couple tobacco flavors for me initially, then whatever comes to mind...

Think I'm good on vaping equipment for now, I do see a ProVari in my near future though...

Good luck, :)

I'll tell ya, I haven't tried to vape while riding... I used to smoke all the time though... With a cigarette hangin out of my mouth...

Something about dropping my $200 vaping rig on the street at 60+ doesn't appeal to me too much... But I didn't think twice about dropping a 50 cent cigarette...

I'm sure the spending on my bike will end eventually... But every time I get something for it, it always end up being like, Oh I need that too, and this, and this, and this.... Horrible hobby... LoL But I love it

I've had my bike for over a dozen years, and it's been paid off for about 10. Other than the used Road Zeppelin seat I picked up recently, I haven't had to spend much of anything on it for many years. But what about vaping while riding? Time for a new post!

Clyde

I use to smoke while I was riding, actually got pretty good at passing lit cigs (experienced riders) to a bike next to me, one of the benefits of having a lighter standard, lol.

Anyway, vape and ride, no different in my book, :)

15 Days in, closing in on the G mark. Wife got the mail today- 2 packages for me, and my CC bill , She paid it- and said nothing...good girl !
She has been patient as I cruise around looking for VG. The packages were my nic juice, Apprentice Flavorings and my last order of Mt. Baker Juice (Great Stuff !). So, when the last couple of packages come this week- I'm done for 2013. As you see in my Sig below- haven't saved a penny vapping- I love it.

Luv that sig, at this point I'll be lucky to break even in a couple/few months, till I buy my next must-have
