hey guys, did anyone have any issues with package tracking? seems everytime i try the page wont load. i dont know if this is something im doing or what. this is the site i was directed too.

There is a silicone o-ring there that expands outwards when you screw the PV together. this prevents the ring from sliding all the way to the top to make contact. Very elegant solution if it works as advertised.

Yes sorry, should have mentioned that in my original review but since it's not such a huge deal for me since I live in Hungary (I will correct this now). It costs 2000 HUF for a complete repair for the current ones (don't quote me on this but this may also include buffing out the scratches. This is not such a huge deal for me (since I can have it back after 48 hours) people outside of Hungary, you kinda need 2 devices to be safe (or be able to live without the device for 2 weeks+). Good news is the new tanks will be polycarbonate and VERY hard to break.

apparently this is restricted by the wires to 2.5 amps

That slide switch is genius. I wish I could understand what he was saying, because I think he mentions how to lock it so it won't fire? What I didn't like is that poly threaded tank. That is way to proprietary in my opinion. Cool, but if it broke, then what? I would love to have one regardless, as long as I got a few tanks for backup! Great looking PV.

I tried to visit their site and it seems to be down. I almost ordered one a while ago, but I couldn't understand how to order what I wanted. I would like to know the amp rating on the touch switch also...

You can input the tracking number into USPS (not sure about other countries) tracking site and it will give information on the package once it is in the States.

Ok thanks. when i put it in the posta.hu website and click track it immediately load the dreded page cant be found error. so i dunno ill just give it a couple days and check usps.

Hi All, ran into this thread after searching for reviews for the ngp. I got a zenesis mini and a line, and i think i'd like one of these. I like that it has screws, cap screws on, and aluminum. What do you guys think about the tube mod (prob the mini) mechanical vs touch switch. I find that the vids that say english subtitles, dont have any that i can see. I am also interested in the box mod, but a little confused about the touch switch, where you have to touch the switch as well as the batt sleeve top. Whats to prevent it from going off in your pocket. I also see the new ring switch...looks very cool, but not very secure. Im rambling at 3 am, but so many choices. Any thoughts.

no, it works different: you don't need to touch the batt sleeve top - the contact to your palm is sufficient. that is why it can go off by holding it in one hand and not paying attention.
but - i have to admit: touch sensor is sexy

going off in your pocket is not an issue. it is impossible. (your not gonna stuff it anyway)


can't wait for my new NGP 4 to arrive - folks at NGP are very helpfull and nice (though the ingenieurs there don't speak english - no problem).

Just an update on the NGP Genesis PVs.

There were a major development of the new NGP Genesis in the last couple of weeks, that's why the stock is empty.

The NGP Genesis with mechanical and touch switch is discontinued.
However there will be a much better, easier and nicer NGP Genesis with ring switch:


As far as I know the palm versions 4.0, 4.1, and the NGP body with 510 connection will be still available with mechanical and touch switch.

That's a nice switch, would be cool on the NGP 4.0 Box to have it on there too

Be careful! It can happen, the guy who made the mod had one in his back pocket. He started sweating and the next thing he realized was that his ... was getting red-hot

always switch a mod off before putting it in your pocket!

going off in your pocket is not an issue. it is impossible. (your not gonna stuff it anyway)

I have a touch, it works great but I dunno if you can still get one. I would trade it for your Zen though

New switch is safe, cause if you screw the battery housing to the atty (tighter together) the o-ring expands preventing the ring from creating a contact. It's a very elegant and innovative solution on paper, haven't tried it myself yet though...

Yeah me too, but they are inexpensive for what they do...I also believe that you gotta sponsor that kind of idea. I don't know if they came up with it, but kudos to them for integrating it.

And they should be out real soon.

I have an order placed with them. I was informed of a 2 - 3 weeks wait maybe longer as everything is hand machined and assembled. I will post updates as they are available.
