Back when carto tanks were popular, a few people were making small floating decoration thingees to put in them. Maybe someone like @Katdarling remembers seeing them and knows where they might still be found?

You beat me to your punch, Jumpz! Yes, I DO remember the tanklets!! I don't recall any other sources tho. It could be that Bedazzle had them as well, but the mainstay was Alice.

My Project X MTL came and it is very shiny. The draw is very comparable to the Prime at the 1.4mm AF setting (3 dots). Easy setup, same as the standard X. Very nice and soooooo full of flavor. RDA like as in the standard X. It's a winner and a keeper. I love the top fill design and wish they would have done that with the standard X.

I will be buying a second MTL X. One obvious question might be if I have a preference between the two. Nope. For me, the MTL X is perfect for tootle puffin' and the standard X is perfect for more air and higher watts (20-26w) where I think it shines. For me both are awesome in wattage and/or TC vaping. I have them setup for either with ss316L claptons. Love 'em... the X's and claptons that is. ;)

It is frickin STUNNING :hubba: I already asked you this in the shiny thread, but it's more relevant here: Can you use say a 3 hole X deck, with a MTL X chamber and top? And from what I've seen on FT, the drip tip on the MTL is proprietary? Please correct me if I'm wrong ;)

Yes the DT is proprietary and they give you an extra in the spares bag. I don't understand why Hussar went with a proprietary DT. It's like one step forward with top fill and one back with a proprietary DT.

I will see what parts are interchangeable on my next refill and report back.

Ha, I will try and build the Franken X ... :w00t:

Side trip: I don't know if you are still looking at RDA's or not. I received the VA Apex and Haku Venna clones and have them on Luna's. Both are very serious flavor bangers and in your wheelhouse air wise. The Apex is an impressive design in that it would be extremely hard to oversquonk with plus it has a deep juice well. I really like both, a lot. It would also be difficult to oversquonk with the Venna the way the airflow is designed on an angle. Flavor wise they are right there with the Hussar v1 RDA.

Haven’t tried the Apex, but I gotta agree with respect to the Haku Venna. I have the SXK version of the Haku Venna and wide-open airflow is about the same as the Coppervape Hussar Project X clone - also wide open. The Project X is no slouch, but I think the Venna (squonked) gives me better flavor.

I totally agree with you. The Venna just rocks and serves up better flavor than an X. No contest. In fact every RDA I own does. I hope I wasn't misunderstood in what I said. No way, no how will an RTA beat out an RDA for flavor IMO.

The trend in design with the majority of the authentic RTA's is smaller and to be specific smaller chimney's designed for better flavor. You know all that. SVM started this trend with the KM3 and then the Prime. The Prime is much closer to that of an RDA for flavor when compared to a KFL etc. Hussar followed suit with the Project X. Of those the X has the smallest chimney. One could even say slammed. Hence my "RDA like" flavor comparison to the X RTA's.

@AngeNZ and all others interested I took a standard X and the MTL X apart to see what fits with what.
See my photo's with notes for info...

Ok next question for you XMen and XWomen: How full do you guys fill?

I've developed a habit of filling it on a 45° angle, keep filling til the airbbubble disappears, then fill it a bit more with it held damn near horizontal. Slapping the lid on real quick and then try to remember to unjfc it. So far it hasn't misbehaved, so far anyway ;)

For me, hold maybe 30° from horizontal, fill until the bubble disappears, cap and “unjfc” it. Luckily, if I put the tank on the base the “right” way the fill slot is almost in-line with the screen of the Jac Sandstorm upon which the PX sits, but I kinda wish there was some external marker for the fill slot.

It has yet to seep or leak. :)
