Hi will the MTL- version of X work with single airflow hole? I hear the is 0.8mm inserts but if you get air from both sides 2x0.8mm it's too much for me.

What rta are you currently using???

How tight of a draw are you looking for???

No, in the MTL version it will not work with a single air hole as they line up on each side by default. Airflow is not adjustable like it is with the original Project X. In the authentic the default inserts are 1mm air holes (see video) same as the clone. The 0.8mm airflow discs @AngeNZ linked will provide a tighter draw and with those installed may provide the tighter draw you are looking for.

The draw is not as easy as adding up the total airflow. A 1mm airflow is comparable in volume of draw as a 1.4mm single air hole. See video for Klaus's very detailed explanation why (below). That is considered mid range for MTL. Not too loose or super strict for MTL. 0.8 is considered a strict MTL.

The MTL version of the X is a tighter MTL when you consider the small chamber size and will be even tighter with the 0.8mm discs. With the 1.0mm discs by default it is not airy due to the small chamber (again see video).

Flavor wise you are going to get something much closer to an RDA with the Project X MTL. This is very true of the original Project X as well.

The original Project X with one air hole on each side is comparable draw wise to a Kayfun Prime on the 2mm airflow setting. I have compared them. The Prime has 1.0mm/1.2mm/1.4mm/1.6mm/1.8mm/2.0mm airflow settings. Yes, the original X can be made tighter by closing off the single air hole.

I do plan on getting one of these as I do enjoy a tighter MTL vape. However I am weird in the sense that I enjoy vaping from tight MTL to DL and all points between.

If you are looking for an RTA with single airflow I would suggest looking at the Coppervape Dvarw MTL v1. By default it has a 1mm airflow under the coil and if you buy the smaller airflow inserts you can get down to 0.8mm. Like the Project X it is also SUPER easy to build on. I am vaping one now with the 0.8mm insert and it is a tight MTL with great flavor running at 20w with a 0.7 ohm 2.5ID kanthal spaced coil.

Good luck and cheers! ;)

If I could sing, “tomorrow, tomorrow” lol! :D
Thanks for the kind words.

Wait... let me turn up the volume ... I can faintly hear you singing "tomorrow, tomorrow"! ;)
Now I'm going to have that song in my head all night.

Guess I'll have to be patient for your review and thoughts.

Thanks ... and YES, I am still hearing “tomorrow, tomorrow”. Once a song gets in my noggin' it takes a bit to dislodge. Just thanks for it not being Britney Spears!
I can take almost any music going waaaaay back to the really old classics my Dad used to crank and sing along to. Like Sinatra, Billie Holiday, Ella Fitzgerald etc through to Pink Floyd or Led Zep. I cannot handle most rap or hip-hop ... I would rather listen to polkas. :w00t:

    Are you squonking yet???

That reminds me... I forgot to mention when you get your Hussar v1 RDA roll your coil counterclockwise for it to fit properly on the build deck. You probably know that already though. Sorry if you do. If you look at the decks of the X versus the v1 RDA you'll see they are reversed thus necessitating the CC coil spin.

I ordered a YFTK Hussar Legacy RDA from 2Fdeal the other day. After reading reviews and watching a bunch of videos everyone says it's great with flavor and an features an improved feeding system for squonking. The big difference is it has a deeper juice well and a much larger build area with some very heavy duty sized screws. My Creek's have a juice well that can hold up to 1.2ml depending on how much wicking is used. It is almost impossible to over-squonk with the Creek.

My Hussar v1 RDA is happily vaping along on my squonker with zero issues. I've tried several different flavors and YES it is a very serious flavor banger with it's reduced chamber. The Creek RDA and the Hussar v1 are my top RDA's right now.

Here is the build deck for the Hussar Legacy RDA... look at those chunky screws!!!
    d3e885355a7272f8f36693969e8f32fb.jpg

It is meant for single coil builds from small to the exotics.

Also the following info from the Hussar FB page on the Legacy...
Legacy by Hussar Vapes 1.png and Legacy by Hussar Vapes 2.png

I can't wait to get mine. Next up will be the Hussar RDTA which also has the same deck as the X.

I'm certainly intrigued by both of those :thumb: and if my FT order would finally turn up I could finally start squonking - I'm done being patient now - TURN UP FT ORDER damnit

Awesome Chels!!! :) And I do hope you like them. The RDL one @AngeNZ linked you will love for sure. Mine is cooking along in hand as I "attempt" typing with two fingers.

I just ordered the Hussar Project X MTL version along with a few RDA's I've been researching for some time.

I did not, but I’m in the mood to spend money right now [emoji23]Into the cart it goes!
