Do you wrap your wire around the screw a full time so that it actually overlaps a little?
I never wrap it around... just bend it slightly to be sure wire is under screw head and cut it as close as possible.

That is an exceptionally nice, clean build! I don’t see any cut wire peeking out!
Qorax uses chapstick (presumably unflavored) on his kayfun o-rings. FWIW, I tried it and it works quite well! I apply with a q-tip.Best bit of advice I can give - once you have the deck built and ready to go - VG the hell out of that bottom o-ring on the deck.
Also VG the hell out of the two o-rings on the fill port
@johnpalley , I decided to rewick one of my Project X's earlier today. Maybe these photo's will help.
This is the same deck and clapton coil I posted a photo of earlier that had a cotton wick.

Here you can see how much I trimmed at the edges of the deck. I left 2mm overhang on each side of the deck (I measured). I did not trim any off the sides or top of the wick before tucking into the juice wells. Nor did I comb it. Finger fluffed it some.

Same as above from the side.

Juiced up. Then I put the tank together and vaped.

The only difference is I used rayon this time versus cotton. The method is basically the same. The Project X works great with either cotton or rayon. The only difference with rayon is I don't trim any off the sides or top of the wick. Once a rayon wick is saturated with juice it will contract/collapse some versus cotton which will expand. In my experience with rayon if you trim additional from the sides or the tops of the wick is where juice can, and will, begin to pool in the juice wells and eventually flood the X.
I've been vaping on this wick for several hours and I don't have any flooding or dry hits. I was vaping at 30w in wattage mode for a bit and then switched over to TC at 20w and 440f. It's vaping great with excellent flavor.
I hope this helps.

Great info! I won't be combing anymore just fluffing. Do you find it easy at all to choke the wick when its too tight in the coil using the cotton bacon prime? Im just trying to figure out if this could of been a possible issue I was having in the past.
trying 3.0 mm 26 g now. This still isn’t centered correctly, is it?

I agree. Also try to understand Todd’s rationale for wicking the way he does. Made sense to me, anyway....Try Todd's first - especially for leaking
Wow !!! What a beautiful coil ...perfectly positioned. What wire you used? I just ordered second Project X plus second extension... plus...Authentic Vandy Vape SS316L Superfine MTL Fused Clapton![]()

It always seems as though my wicking is lopsided. It’s always thicker on one side :-(
Legs downYou can center it after, is it legs down or legs up?
On Qorax’s Project X I saw he used Nivea lip balmQorax uses chapstick (presumably unflavored) on his Kayfun o-rings. FWIW, I tried it and it works quite well! I apply with a q-tip.
In the cart it goes! It's the only build that has looked like that
Used this:

Wait, I’m not actually sure by what you mean. I meant my legs were on the bottom of the coil. Or were you asking how I wound them? You can center it after, is it legs down or legs up?
Mine is too, it drives me up the bloody wallI usually just thin the fatter side a tiny bit until they look similar

I would put the Coiling Rod back in the coil & using your nails try to pull the coil apart using your nails to space them it will make your coil longer & evenly spaced then you can adjust the coil with your Coiling Rod to center the coil. Or,trying 3.0 mm 26 g now. This still isn’t centered correctly, is it?

Do you have a link to the correct extension part? I wasn’t sure which to buy on FT. I go through 2 mls pretty quickly so I could definitely use an extension!Wow !!!
