It's made of nylon. It's there because relying on the battery's heat shrink to insulate the battery from the switch isn't safe.
hey everyone- since its my b-day this fri!!! i ordered a noble 1 yesterday- stalking the usps track and confirm as we speak- i live in san fernando valley la, 310 vapers is in cerritos (way south) and my hybrid is now in santa clarita (way north)...it flew right over my head during the night lol...couldn't they just drop the .......ker into my backyard?
anyway unfortunately the 24k diablo is on hold for at least a month for financial and technical reasons...("switch upgrades")

hey everyone....its all set up...vapor craze noble 1 hybrid 1191-
one of the hardest hitting little devices i ever owned- this thing is pretty sweet....super light, hits like a train, flavor comes through incredibly rich.....EXTREMELY PLEASED!!!
when i first opened the package, i thought...eh...
then, as soon as i coiled it with .8 ribbon like i usually do, it was WAYYYY too much th lol
i had to recoil with .5 ribbon, 3 wraps....prob. closer to .9-1 ohm....perfect......
props go out to vapor craze for creating a real work horse

Yup! Just got my Noble 1 today as well along with my Diablo. Both arrived on the same day. I am very pleased

please give me your opinions on the diablo- did you get the ss or the luxury 24k?
im thinking of picking one up as well...just couldn't afford both right now...
lovin the noble.....how is the diablo in comparison (voltage drop? wicking? flavor?)
i would recommend the noble 1 to anyone looking for a hybrid or a mech- wow....this little thing packs a hell of a punch...
the only thing i imagine some people would mind is the 2mm wick hole, no washer for the switch, and a 350 battery only...
however....it truly makes up for the above by such a low voltage drop under load and an incredible vapor and flavor output....
I have both the noble and diablo. I prefer the diablo. It seems to hit harder and have better flavor. It just seems very well built and very easy to setup with a nice fat wick. I don't like the spring post for the positive post on the noble. Even with the negatives it's still a nice little hybrid. I polished mine up and it looks fantastic.
Hey everyone....other noble 1 owners- are you experiencing wicking issues?
because the wick hole is only 2mm, until the wick gets warm from vaping i experience some dry hits..
suggestions???? i changed from solid to a straw wick and its a bit better, the wick is slightly less than 2mm, fitting comfortably so its not choked, also im using.5ribbon kanthal, 4 or 3 wraps but results are pretty much the same, until the wick is warm it hits a bit dry, this never happens with my DID's even at .5ohm using .8ribbon because the wick is twice as fat...
please contribute with some troubleshooting or wick suggestions....
I've always used 500 mesh solid with with a three wrap of 32 gauge twisted coil. Never had a problem with that setup.
hey everyone: another update: my macaveli v2 350 hybrid red final run came in today set up and goin right away.....beautiful hybrid imho...
fantastic vape.....next to it is the noble 1, noble's nuts had to be fiddled with too much for a high rating imho...lol

I been using the sdog for a few months, been happy with it meeting my needs. harder hitting pv's require better wicking, hear good things about ss rope wicks so gonna give it a try
lol....teemu from diablo mods is wearing gloves cuz the piece just came out of "the oven" ...
here are my 3 hybrids- noble 1, zen sw winter camo, macaveli v2....had to pass up the diablo momentarily, but with the right timing the diablo luxury line should join the collection- and here i was a few weeks ago complaining of a total lack of inspiration to buy new toys..
lol, now im broke, hungry, but at least i have e-liquid!
since this is my own thread i thought it would be appropriate to chime in as the macaveli got broken in:
imho this device deserves a 5* rating (out of 5)....its really quite perfect so far....

so my macaveli leaked a bit yesterday...a proper washing and some thicker juice took care of that.....i was pretty upset to see the same problem happening there as in my noble...
for now its good....a blow drying while screwing the parts back together gave it a tighter seal- we'll see how long that lasts.
any hybrids out there that DO NOT LEAK from the center post? at all? lol?
