SO i got the copper SMPL Clone with the magnet button and its amazing. SO good I went ahead and ordered another one in SS. for $20 shipped it's a no brainer.

I got a SS infinite clone as my daily beater. I keep toying with getting a copper authentic. Can you send the link to that copper clone with the magnets?

I wouldn't get too hung up on any SMPL clone lacking a magnet... You won't get a hot button, or even a lukewarm button, no matter how low you sub-ohm. For conductivity, those wavy ridges inside the switch that make the electrical contact between the button and the housing are superior to any mech switch I've seen. On my daily beater running dual-coil Orchids at 0.3 ohm, when it was new I put one coat of antioxidant grease in the switch almost 4 months ago, and haven't had to do any maintenance ever since, anywhere in the mod. Still hits like it was new. I doubt any other mech switch out there can run months at 0.3 ohm with no maintenance.

Funny you mention that. I did end up going with a SS SMPL clone and the first few days were great. I am now however getting the hot button issue I was concerned with. What wavey ridges are you referinng to? I just dismantled the switch and polished up the contact point a bit with mother mag...but the button is still getting warm. I routinely run .24-.3 ohm builds.

Well it's a brass switch, so you definitely need to use some good grease. Brass is brass and it will oxidize without a silver-plating. I recommend Ox-Gard ($5 at Lowes), which is what I always use. Cheap and effective. I put it in light bulbs/fluorescents, wire crimps, etc. Any electrical contact that's exposed to air.

Plenty of recommendations in this thread: http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/general-vaping-discussion/619186-anti-oxidation-grease-gb-ox-gard-noalox-success-story.html#post14488318

Here's my first clone's switch. I don't know the brand. It was one of the first clones available, back when only fleabay had 'em. :)
Not sure if yours has these wavy ridges or not, but they provide plenty of mechanically sound pressure points, so I can push the button as half-as.$.ed as I want without a misfire.

Those ridges keep the switch from spinning within itself.
