Have a 4 nine and liked the size of it but the switch is a little wonky if you don't hit it dead center. Picked up a copper praxis from vaperev and absolutely love it. Not a magnetic switch, but very well designed and no chance of it firing by accident. I feel comfortable carrying all day in the pocket.

Picked up a copper tobeco Smpl clone at a b&m for $40. Magnetic switch, properly recessed. Excellent fit and finish. Only thing is it's 100% copper, including the switch, and is the new style switch with the screw and not the c-clip. Really want a stainless one with a brass switch now, haven't seen one locally though. I hate waiting for vape mail, lol.

I'd be interested in that clone and whether its single tube construction or press fit top cap.

I just picked up a copper tugboat mod. Honestly I like it better than my 4nine. I had a problem with long 510's causing the 4nine to misfire. No such problem with the tugboat.

I've found that the tugboat is a lot more forgiving with regards to centre pin length on the atty, but it and the 4nine have horrible buttons compared to the SMPL.

The tugboat as mentioned twice already is good, has the specs you want and it comes in a variety of colors and coatings so you don't have to put with stinky copper lol.

I tried an aluminum tugboat and I was not nuts about it. I handled but did not hit off of a copper tugboat clone and I have to admit I kinda like it. As I mentioned earlier, I went with a SS SMPL clone and I really like it, but the hot button due to the spring is somewhat aggravating. I may end up with the Tugboat eventually. When I can figure out how to hide it from my wife.

I'd be interested in that clone and whether its single tube construction or press fit top cap.

I'm unsure of whether its one piece or press fit. I couldn't see any seams from the inside or out, and it seems to hit harder than my Sir Lancelot clone which has a .01v voltage drop, so I'd say that regardless of whether the Smpl is press fit or one piece the vaping experience is going to be virtually undetectable between the two.

I'd snap a pic of my smpl top to show the lack of an obvious seam, but one of my atties decided to score a nice circular groove into the top of my mod, so it sure looks like it has a seam now. Oh well, can't see it with an atty installed anyway, lol.

The seam would be on the outside of the mod, not on the top.
I have 5 SMPL clones. One has a seam.... The others do not.

Really? I figured they would have pressed it into the tube so any seam would be hidden when an atty was installed. If that's the case, then no, there is definitely no seam on this tobeco. None that I can see anyway.

Why not the Tugboat? You just don't like the styling or is it something else? I ask because I'm looking at getting one too.

It wasn't anything specific. It was more follow the band wagon sort of thing. I'm very bad at keeping threads clean (haven't found a way to clean them that works for me) so the threads in the top cap piece of the copper tugboat were concerning. Then again, it doesn't have bottom threads, so there should be some equivalence in terms of voltage drop between a SMPL clone and Tugboat clone. It's on my list of mods I'm interested in. I had a double magnet mod previously and liked that particular aspect of it, I just didnt care for the overall size of that one (it was a Cigreen Dragon and ended up paying it forward).

I use a toothbrush for mod threads and a q tip for the 510 threads.
(I also have a tiny brush for 510 threads that came with an atty I think)

IMO- Best option is Nemesis 18650 Aluminum Tube, Brass Switch/Lock Ring, Brass Hybrid Adapter- All authentic from eliquidbar.com or atmomixani.gr
Probably one of your cheapest and most reliable options...

My favorite RDA is the Tobh V2.5- it is the standard by which I measure all others-
IMO The Tugboat V2 has somewhat strange airflow- I can't quite get the sweet spot in terms of coil placement/diameter as easily....maybe it's 2 vs. 3 airholes?
Overall- it's a very well machined atty...I especially like the Matte Black V2....
