$100 sounds amazing????
You are joking arent you 8-o
No, where else can I get a 3.7v/5v/6v/7.4v big batt mod with all adapters (40x,801,901,510,kr8), pass-through, atty(s), batteries and a charger for about $100?
Starter kit is $59 USD
Extension cut $19.50 USD
plus postage.
includes batteries, charger, adapters, atty and 5 cartridges.
Yeah sorry, usually I order $200+ so I get free postage... so it is about $100 if you get $100 worth of other goodies attys/cartos juice etc.) Otherwise what +$25 for postage?
It might be a batch thing. People who have bought them from the current run (last couple of weeks) have had issues with cross threading. Apparently the threads are not matching.
That and batteries not fitting the chargers seem to be the biggest complaints.
Is yours metal? There's been a post on whirlpool about the body being plastic... but that doesn't seem right.
yes they are all metal, and yeah.. there are thread and charger probs on some (which is what I was trying to say earlier about because you get so many different things, there are more things that can go wrong. ie: if they just sold the batterycup and button section with one thread cap/atty adapter like everyone else was then they would have less complaints.)
The way it see it is I get free adapters, batts and charger... so if there is a fault it's no biggie, and EM do have a great return/replace policy. (IMExp)
I've been using mine for a few weeks (only stock at 3.7v) and it has been treating me well for the most part. How is the electroplate finish holding up on yours after using it for so long? My silver Indulgence started to dull quite quickly and has now worn through to the copper (?) below the button where I rest my thumb, around the seals and is starting to wear through around the Indulgence engraving.
Yeah my button has no silver on it, and I have dropped it many times, once off a motorbike onto rocks and into a creek, other times out of a truck, earthmoving machinery and out of the car etc...
It is scratched, chipped and battered but I bought it to vape with, not as a piece of jewelry. I know some people would take better care of their things and like them in pristine condition, but that wont happen in my life. (style) I think they all look a bit
ghay when shiny and new, and prefer the worn look.
On Friday when I noticed that the titaniums and extended cups were in stock I was very tempted to buy another one with a 6v cup, but after contemplating the lint in my navel for a while I ended up saying 'f@$# it' and coughed up for a Silver Bullet instead. The extra bucks seem worth it for something that looks to be of significantly better design, build and finish.
Yes, the SB seems like a great device and I would like one too, but it would still get scratched, chipped and worn if it were mine, and I cannot see how it would or could 'perform' any better as it only has to deliver power from the battery through the switch to the atty.
My 801 adapter is dodgy and restricts the inhalation airflow way too much. I'm not sure if it's a manufacturing fault or an inherent design flaw. After having used the Indulgence for a while I also find the adapter system to be pretty fiddly. I like to swap between 510s and 901s and the 901 adapter in particular is an extremely tight fit and can be very finicky about slotting in properly.
I think I like the idea of just screwing an adapter straight into the top of an SB rather than fluffing around with removing the cap, removing the adapter, slotting in a new adapter, then screwing the cap back on.
why not just leave one thread cap/bullitt adapter on the Indulgence and just screw the different adapters into it as you would with the SB? And I would be very interested to read your thoughts about how they compare.
It's an alright unit, and it has barely left my hand for the past few weeks, but I think it is a case of 'you get what you pay for'.
Yes agreed, some people buy the cheapest things and expect them to be of the highest quality... wanting Champagne on beer budget.. but the way I see it, for me it is a great mod that I can use, abuse and throw it away if or when it finaly dies (EM will probably still exchange it) and I will just get a brand new shiny one.
I guess I was one of the lucky ones in that everything worked as it should, except the 'free' charger, maybe if I had a few things wrong where I was sending it back and forth, I would probably not be so happy.
I just had a problem spending US$100+ for a battery housing with a switch, no atty, batts, charger or versatility.
I know it is probably not the best quality mod out there, but for me it was the best because of the versatility (I had lots of 401/901/801/510 stuff) and so happened to be the cheapest even though I was prepared to spend 2x or 3x the price.
I would still recommend it to my friends, but maybe not so much in the forums anymore, as I guess it is quite a personal thing... especially the finish which really doesn't rate much to me, but seems to leave others wanting.
