When I ordered my indulgence from eastmall, and saw all those attachments for different atty’s, I thought to myself it will be good to try some different models of e-cigs besides the good ol 510, so I ordered 901’s and 801’s in equal numbers, 3 atty’s each, along with three bats for good measure.

So two weeks later they come in…unfortunately my indulgence was faulty so I had to send it back (which Eastmall took good care of, I’m happy). So I enthusiastically tried out the different models of atty’s…thankfully I’d ordered the spare stock batteries. I’m thinking to myself…’Mmmmm, I’m loving this 901, such good taste and vape, got to get more, make it my main e-cig’.

So my next order I decided to order a ton of stuff from HG, adding in lots of different 901 hardware, lots of back ups, tons of atty’s and carts, chargers, adaptors (for the 501 batteries which I seemed to have lots of). Thinking great…now I have lots of 901 stuff and options to use it anywhere.

My order came in early this week, I’m thinking ‘woot! Here’s the 901 stuff’, I rip open the parcel…and find it’s all, what I thought was, 801 stuff! Then it occurred to me, because I had ordered even numbers from eastmall, and they don’t label their gear…I’d mistaken the 801 for the 901. NOOOOOooooooooo!

maybe you can sell it on the classified to someone..

Thanks, I’ll probably keep them, I’m slowly converting the ring of smokers around me to e-cigs (they’ve been a skeptic lot), and I’ll probably off load the 901’s to them, once they move from the 510 stage. (and besides the 901 isn’t so bad).

I’m more annoyed that I’ll have to do a special order and wait over a week till I’ll get more 801’s…I want, no, wait, rephrase that…neeeeeed 801’s.

But as long as what I've got, keeps me off cigarettes...then I'm happy :)

didn't the indulgence come with the 801 adapter? maybe you can still use all that stuff? or don't you like the 801 atties? i've not tried them myself....

I sent everything my indulgence came with, because it was faulty (the end cap thread had been reversed, so there was no way it was going to work), including the adaptors. The replacement will begin it's slow journey here, early next week.

I got an indulgence too, just to compare to my chameleon, and as a backup... must say chameleon wins hands down.

yep, i am sure it does. just as my little old tornado wins hands down. can't speak for anyone else here, but my indulgence is very poorly made. feels as though it would break quite easily. correct me if i am wrong, but is it plastic? sure feels like it. mine arrived with big chips of gold taken off it and underneath is white. sure looks/feels like plastic.
customer service is extremely lacking also. 3 days since i emailed about my defective product and still they continue to ignore me. i've been polite about it all thus far, but my patience is starting to wear rather thin. i certainly won't be recommending the product or company to anyone.

where did you get your chameleon? i can't remember where i have seen them now. and what do you like about it?

I got my chameleon from Ikenvape The Chameleon Line its due in this week i think.
What I like about the Chameleon:
its size is smaller (just) than the indulgence, it takes the same batteries, has a definitely more solid feel about it, the button works every time I push it. As with the indulgence it comes with adapters, you can get the extension sleeve and a pass thru.

The customer service is 100% excellent.

I just like the chameleon, I think it will last longer than the indulgence, but then again, it does cost more, but I guess you get what you pay for.

My 2 cents.

yea the indulgence can be hit and miss, my pass thru was DOA and the threads constantly wearing off (i am considering a new better mod ), oh yea i got a 801 atty in my indulgence pack too instead of a 901. (you can read my review at the east mall forums)

801 was the first e cig i tried thats why i knew it was an 801, actually i would like to buy a couple of 901's to try out from you mooody if you dont mind ^_^.

LOL! I am always worried about that... especially when ordering adaptors. It's not the cost, it's having to wait for another 5-10 days.

Has anyone who has owned this more than a week had anything good to say about it? I'd like to meet the minority

I have had mine a few months now and am very happy with it, I use it every day mostly on 6v and often drop it (it fell in a creek once) and other general rough treatment, and it is still going strong.
I am just waiting for EM to get their Riva and LR attys in and am going to order another Indulgence... not because I need a back-up, but just cause I like it and want to mix and match the colours etc.
I might have just been a lucky one, as I had no issues at all except with the charger, and EM gladly offered to give me a new one without even having to send the old one back.
Some people like to bag it because it is 'made in china' and is very cheap considering you get batts, atty, charger and all the adapters (including the 401) and it did have a few teething proplems in the first few batches.
When comparing products you have to keep in mind the price... some mods are 3-4 times the price and you get no extras included (batts/chargers/adapters etc). If EM sold the Indulgence by itself with one thread cap and no batts or extras, it would have saved alot of negativity as the main probs were with the charger and extra adapters.
It seems the more they include in the package deal the more things can go wrong and I am sure user error is a major factor besides manufacturing faults.

I would have happily paid double the price for mine, and still think it is the best mod for me... and it just turns out to be the cheapest and best value for money.

I like the feel of it and I like the button and the versatility, and EM has wonderful warranty and service (they have had a few probs lately for new users that hadn't read the EM forum first.)

Most people willl not post back if there is no problem, but everyone will if there is a slighest thing wrong, being one of the only mass produced mods.. I would think there would be much more of these things being sold than any other hand made device, so I would naturally expect more people needing assistance too.

Having said all that, I still would like to buy a GG and a C-JB and a SB or a Chameleon too.

The Indulgence is $59.00 with all adapters, atty, batts and charger, or about $100 with a 5v PT , 6v cup with batts and some HV attys.
That is an amazing deal in my book and should be remembered if something is not exactly perfect.

It might be a batch thing. People who have bought them from the current run (last couple of weeks) have had issues with cross threading. Apparently the threads are not matching.

That and batteries not fitting the chargers seem to be the biggest complaints.

Is yours metal? There's been a post on whirlpool about the body being plastic... but that doesn't seem right.

I've been using mine for a few weeks (only stock at 3.7v) and it has been treating me well for the most part. How is the electroplate finish holding up on yours after using it for so long? My silver Indulgence started to dull quite quickly and has now worn through to the copper (?) below the button where I rest my thumb, around the seals and is starting to wear through around the Indulgence engraving.

I am just waiting for EM to get their Riva and LR attys in and am going to order another Indulgence... not because I need a back-up, but just cause I like it and want to mix and match the colours etc.
On Friday when I noticed that the titaniums and extended cups were in stock I was very tempted to buy another one with a 6v cup, but after contemplating the lint in my navel for a while I ended up saying 'f@$# it' and coughed up for a Silver Bullet instead. The extra bucks seem worth it for something that looks to be of significantly better design, build and finish.

the main probs were with the charger and extra adapters.
My 801 adapter is dodgy and restricts the inhalation airflow way too much. I'm not sure if it's a manufacturing fault or an inherent design flaw. After having used the Indulgence for a while I also find the adapter system to be pretty fiddly. I like to swap between 510s and 901s and the 901 adapter in particular is an extremely tight fit and can be very finicky about slotting in properly.

I think I like the idea of just screwing an adapter straight into the top of an SB rather than fluffing around with removing the cap, removing the adapter, slotting in a new adapter, then screwing the cap back on.

It's an alright unit, and it has barely left my hand for the past few weeks, but I think it is a case of 'you get what you pay for'.

$100 sounds amazing????
You are joking arent you 8-o

No, where else can I get a 3.7v/5v/6v/7.4v big batt mod with all adapters (40x,801,901,510,kr8), pass-through, atty(s), batteries and a charger for about $100?

Starter kit is $59 USD
Extension cut $19.50 USD
plus postage.

includes batteries, charger, adapters, atty and 5 cartridges.

Yeah sorry, usually I order $200+ so I get free postage... so it is about $100 if you get $100 worth of other goodies attys/cartos juice etc.) Otherwise what +$25 for postage?

yes they are all metal, and yeah.. there are thread and charger probs on some (which is what I was trying to say earlier about because you get so many different things, there are more things that can go wrong. ie: if they just sold the batterycup and button section with one thread cap/atty adapter like everyone else was then they would have less complaints.)
The way it see it is I get free adapters, batts and charger... so if there is a fault it's no biggie, and EM do have a great return/replace policy. (IMExp)

Yeah my button has no silver on it, and I have dropped it many times, once off a motorbike onto rocks and into a creek, other times out of a truck, earthmoving machinery and out of the car etc...
It is scratched, chipped and battered but I bought it to vape with, not as a piece of jewelry. I know some people would take better care of their things and like them in pristine condition, but that wont happen in my life. (style) I think they all look a bit ghay when shiny and new, and prefer the worn look.

Yes, the SB seems like a great device and I would like one too, but it would still get scratched, chipped and worn if it were mine, and I cannot see how it would or could 'perform' any better as it only has to deliver power from the battery through the switch to the atty.

why not just leave one thread cap/bullitt adapter on the Indulgence and just screw the different adapters into it as you would with the SB? And I would be very interested to read your thoughts about how they compare.
It's an alright unit, and it has barely left my hand for the past few weeks, but I think it is a case of 'you get what you pay for'.

Yes agreed, some people buy the cheapest things and expect them to be of the highest quality... wanting Champagne on beer budget.. but the way I see it, for me it is a great mod that I can use, abuse and throw it away if or when it finaly dies (EM will probably still exchange it) and I will just get a brand new shiny one.

I guess I was one of the lucky ones in that everything worked as it should, except the 'free' charger, maybe if I had a few things wrong where I was sending it back and forth, I would probably not be so happy.

I just had a problem spending US$100+ for a battery housing with a switch, no atty, batts, charger or versatility.

I know it is probably not the best quality mod out there, but for me it was the best because of the versatility (I had lots of 401/901/801/510 stuff) and so happened to be the cheapest even though I was prepared to spend 2x or 3x the price.

I would still recommend it to my friends, but maybe not so much in the forums anymore, as I guess it is quite a personal thing... especially the finish which really doesn't rate much to me, but seems to leave others wanting.

Yeah my button has no silver on it
Here's a pic of what's happening to mine:
indulg.jpg

It's hard to take a decent and accurate photo of this thing (it is actually silver not gold), but see below the button, the electroplating has totally worn through to the brass beneath, and it's starting to happen all over the unit.

I actually think it would look pretty cool if it were just plain brushed or polished brass -- and it wouldn't hurt to lose the poofo 'Indulgence' engraving either :)

It is scratched, chipped and battered but I bought it to vape with, not as a piece of jewelry.
Well, well, well... what happened to Mr Fancy who wanted to mix and match different colours to go with his blouse a few posts earlier? :) j/k Dogs

why not just leave one thread cap/bullitt adapter on the Indulgence and just screw the different adapters into it as you would with the SB?
Yeah, I suppose, but I'm not really 100% impressed with the adapters anyway. Apart from my 801 adapter being total sh!te, the 510 and 901 adapters don't quite work as well as an OEM battery connection. Adding an extra adapter on top could just make things worse (and there's the fact that I don't even own any adapters :). I am definitely hoping that the SB's 510 connection will be significantly better.

I just had a problem spending US$100+ for a battery housing with a switch, no atty, batts, charger or versatility.
I totally hear ya, but the way I look at it with the SB is that I'll be getting a device which is produced in smaller numbers with superior design, comfort, build quality, durability, attention to detail and quality control (at least I hope that's the case), and that seems worth the extra bucks to me.

For versatility, as mentioned I really think I'll prefer just to use adapters on the 510 thread rather than a system like the Indulgence, and the SB seems pretty versatile with voltage and batteries.

I do suspect that it may be a bit big and cumbersome to cart around all the time, but I'm yet to see and am willing to accept that if it is.

Reading a post today at Eastmall forum and there are a few that have got a gold indulgence this week with same problem, so maybe i got a bung one. Waiting to hear back from them.

join the club kimmy. it's been almost a week since i emailed them, and another follow up and they continue to ignore me. if they had have dealt with my issue, i would gladly have purchased the new riva. no chance of that now, or any further purchases with them, i afraid.
