Two words:
Highway Robbery……… even at Retail

Ok, that was more than two words.

retail is 230. Its brand new with authenticity seal and everythings that should be in the box. How is it if you ever heard of it? You think it has future potential by go rare? (as far as I know there are 500 that were made..its brass)

I know...

Price yes. Looks yes. But performance.. are they really worth about as twice as much compared tk Provari (i do own one and like it . but I still think that it shouldn't have priced that much IMHO)

I am so confused. If I should just stick with budget Mech like K100 and just be happy with it..

Performance? How do you define that?

Fill your favorite tank with your favorite juice. Now close your eyes and vape. Do you actually think you can tell whether its on a Provari set to 4.0 volts, or any other APV set to 4.0? Not a chance in hell. If you believe you can, and are a betting man, then I'll be heading south with a wad of cash.

Same thing for mechs. The main difference between my cheapie K100 and the higher priced mechs is that my K100 *might* have a tad more voltage drop, but that only matters to the crazy sub-ohm crowd, and can be largely remedied with some sandpaper and stuff, anyway. (Besides, I love my K100 because it's freakin beautiful, dammit! :) )

Performance is a myth
, the way most people think of it, when comparing hi-end to low-end. Sure, my Provari will last longer than my Vamo, but that's not performance, that's reliabilty. And a $100 mech *might* hit just a tad harder because of better conductivity, but if my palate were so refined i could tell the difference, i'd get a job as a professional taster and make so much damn money, i'd be comparing Ferarris to Lambourhinis--not APVs.

it really is just a battery tube.

It's ugly AND it's $140 over retail?

Go for it! :D

Funny , do you also think the much prized Chi You is ugly too? THey look like each other and probably built the same. Like many said if its an investment you are looking for than you are taking a chance. The people who made this mod were/are hoping the craze for the Chi you will make them some money. There are CHi Yous going for double , triple the orig price because of the slow production and the way people have gone nuts for them.

Its worth what you are willing to pay. Im sure you will find them at closer to the retail price and if you wait a second run. There are many nice stainless steel well performing PVs even some brass and stainless ones at about 50, all that is different is the posts and the lack of laser engravings.

Take away the logos, serial numbers, and the price tags most would not be much indistinguishable to the average persons glance. I myself like quality and function and simplicity, something that will last a lifetime. SOmething that has features like adjustable center pins, ease of use. I dont have the means to do any modding myself, so it has to be working as I want out of the mail.

SO get it if it meets your needs and you really love it, get it.
Dont get it as ab investment or to keep up with the "Jones" You only need to impress yourself.

Im sure some will be able to tell which is the CHi and which it the KING, but really except for the hex ring so it doesnt roll of a table to the eye they are almost identical. If there is someone with both, how do the feel and perform.

Funny my boyfriend and I were out for a ride on his simple Sportster ( Harley) and we rode by a motorcylce learning group. We had to laugh as there were 2 Biker newbies with Fatboys as their first bike to learn on. THey tumbled going on the zig zag course and the parking lessons. THey definately bit off more than they could carry. On top of that they were both men of not so tall or large stature.

Some people are trying to tell you to "slow down!" Get a feel for the equipment you already own. Do more research, less thread starting. You will be fine. You don't have to "get it" in one day, one week, one month, etc.

I can smell some sarcasm all over here since my negative thread on provari.
