I have only recently started vaping (one month) and WOW do I realize I have no idea what I am doing, after reading some of these threads lol I am using an ego t with a clearomizer, that is about all I can tell you, I am thinking maybe it is a bad set up....anyway, I have read about "dripping" the only reason I want to know is, I am on a search for flavors I like, but if you add them to a new clearo to test..the flavors all start to blend after a while...any suggestions on what I could use to test flavors?

Dripping is a great way to try out new flavors. I find it to be a pain otherwise imho. For regular vaping, stick with the clearo for now and look into simple tank options like the Vision Vivi Nova or a DCT (carto tank). If you enjoy the form factor of the Ego, do yourself a favor and pick up an Ego twist. The variable voltage on the twist will allow you much more flexibility when it comes to tanks, cartos, clearos, juice flavors and the array of voltage resistances available. So much info here. You are in the right place! Keep reading the forums and welcome to ECF. good luck.

Sounds like a great setup!

All you need now is 510 threaded atomizer so you can drip on to the coil to "test" juices.

After you own a few juices, head on over to Pay It Forward Samples Swap. We have fun there, and save $ by swapping with each other:

I love the clearos. I use Two CE5 rebuildables and a Vivi Nova. My first battery was an Ego Twist 1000. My second was a splurge thanks to a windfall. A Provari. I also have an Ego passthough. I love the variable Voltage it helps to match with what ever atty you use. Not to overload you with info but here are two things that you my find useful.

What atomizer would you guys recommend for taste testing? I never thought of getting an easy to clean tester piece for stuff like that. What a good idea!

Just starting out, any 510 threaded atty you can afford. Joyetech, smoketec, etc.

I heard the Better Life ones are pretty good and only $5.

Later on you can try the more expensive fancier and hybrid ones, like the HH357, Aero, etc.

and by the way, you drippers out there really should try the vapage slant coil hybrid. You can visit the vmodXL topic and see what people are saying....it really rates very high on everyone's lists, and not many people know about them if they are not using vapage or vmod stuff.

Thank you, everyone! I will look into the 510 atomizer. This will make things so much easier! I have ruined so many clearos trying to taste test, and really wasn't getting the true flavor!

Yeah, all you need is 3-6 drops of juice to sample taste it. Shame to waste it in a larger clearo or carto and find out you hate it.

I've been vaping for several months now, and I don't drip. Couldn't get the hang of it, I either flooded the atty or got burnt taste. So if dripping on an atty isn't for you, try the following.

I test new flavors using ce3's, or ce2's, what ever. Seems every vendor calls them something different. Clear cartomizers or clearocartos. Here's a pic so that at least you know what to look for on a vendor's website. These are a combination clearomizer/cartomizer. They hold minimal juice capacities, but you only need a mililiter to figure out if you like a flavor. You can see the juice. No polyfill to taint flavors. You can empty, rinse, and refill with another flavor. So, yes, reusable. Cheap too - 5-pack for $10.

Finding out I hate it has happened more than once. I have tried a few, even after steeping, the flavor would equal...ummmm..putting some of my perfume in and vaping it lol Also I have found, if you like a flavor and try another in the same clearo you might get by with it and that flavor will vanish after a while, BUT if you hate it, that flavor will NEVER go away!

Yes it is complicated and you're welcome. If you have a favorite vendor post the link and I'll find the right "atty" for you.

The only 2 vendors I have used are ECblends and Halo...I am not sure if they carry any of that stuff. I was getting my clearos from a local shop, but I have seen some of the prices online and will be taking a different route from now on. If you know of a good place to order supplies from, that would be great! I am so new to this I haven't really established any vendors..juice or otherwise.

Thanks Baditude! Once again, you've helped me out! So where do I get small amounts of juice without having to buy full 5 ml samples? Or would I just need to take these to my local store and try some if they allow? I am guessing some websites sell small sample packs to try? I haven't looked that far into it yet, I'm still hooked on my local store since they are close.
