Trying the horizontal spring with the blue foam. So far so good. I am 1/2 hour into the cart chain vaping. No flooding of atty, very consistent hits. I fit alot more than 12 drops though. With the straight blue foam I fit 19 usually, either smaller drops or larger cart on my 510 I figure. Since I have 15 carts all the same, my guess is smaller drops ;-)

Just when I thought I was out, they pull me back in!!

I had finally settled on the blue foam.
Now this?

Damn you guys! DAMN YOU!!!

LMAO!!!! Meee Toooo! DAMN THEM!!!!

I was good with blue foam cut narrow at the bottom (width of cart) and twice the width at top. Now, trying the horizontal spring and foam. Working well so far...

Yeah the ejuice im using is rockymoutianvapors flue cured tabbacco its thiner thin my other juice's wich is why my drops are bigger..

Yeah Im sure the bluefoam and harizontal spring works just as good or bluefoam and vertical spring .. pretty much same concept... big resivor=lots of token. Small filler at the top= quick wicking. Moist atty=great flavor and vapor.. glad you all are getting the concept:)

Just one word of caution, especially when using the spring and blue foam. If you leak any fluid, assume you lost ALL fluid. The foam wick so fast you will be hitting a dry atty. The spring (depending on diameter) will put some pressure on the atty bridge. I just burnt through a bridge. I believe the bridge was slightly damaged to begin with, but this finished it off. Down to my last used atty, then back on analogs.... damn it!

Honestly, you people constantly amaze me with your tinkering, tampering and messing around with these PV carts...it's like being trapped in a retirement home for mad scientists. :D

I've been perfectly happy with the straw mod and fluval filling on my 510, but this looks like another simple mod that is just begging to be tried...now, I just need to find a clicky pen. :)

Excellent video and concept, Scotty - So .......n simple!

Before you know it, you will be in the grocery store, walking down the little hardware isle, looking at every item and thinking, "How can I use THIS to mod my PV?"

The little slider felt pads you put on the bottom of chair legs will have you thinking for at least 15 minutes.....

Been there done that.

I had some 510 batteries from the Widow that didn't have any LED (it's been almost 5 months and the thing still won't die!). This was just when the new PCC was coming out. Anyway, the batteries were just a little to short to work in the PCC. Took a little sticky felt pad, stuck in on the inside lid of my PCC and it pushed the battery down just far enough to make it work. And it still works with the ones that have the LED.

P.S. No, the worst part is NOT buying them and then coming up with a brilliant idea on the drive home!
P.P.S. This mod is also great for mixing on the go. Instead of putting 12 drops of cola, put in 6 cola and 6 cherry. Or 8 flue cured and 4 vanilla! Or anything plus vanilla.

This mod is working extremely well... and I was very skeptic! I have had no leaks and no atty floods. It has increased vapor, increased throat hit, and decreased flavor. This is exactly was I was looking for. Thumbs up to whoever came up with this first! Now, if I can figure out why a cart is lasting me 60-80 minutes before going dry.... ;-)

First hit with no flavor.... cart is bone dry! I', not even wasting a drop now on vaping and refilling a cart!

On a scale of 1 to 10 (10 vapor rings being the best so far) This one rates 15!!:pervy:

Wonderful job!

510 going strong - no drips - no runs - no errors (well 'cept the spring half I have yet to find:lol:)

You outdid the McGyver!! You are hereby recruited as a Fore Bearer in the McGyver Realm --- err Kingdom.

Thanks, Scotty for this terrific Mod. I have tried three different things. First, I did the mod on a 510 as you showed. The result were OK but I got a mouthful of juice the first couple of puffs. Then I did the same mod to my low bridge 801 and am getting great results but I just started doing it so I don't know how long it will vape without refill.

Finally, I did the vertical spring with my 801 VP2 and the taste and vapor are amazing. I took someone's advices and mixed vanilla with coffee-yummy.

I couldn't find any pens around here with springs so I went to the hardware store and bought a few different sizes. Only one is a little too wide. Also, I use the wool felt as filler and everything is awesome. Off to make some more for hubby and me both. :D
