I'm glad you brought this up, because I thought it was only me having trouble falling to sleep at night.

From the looks of all the responses it's not too uncommon to have some form of sleeping difficulties at the beginning. I've only been using e-cigs for 1-1/2 weeks myself and although I have difficulty falling to sleep some nights, when I do get to sleep I have been having some very vivid dreams.

I think the thing to remember is that the nicotine is absorbed slower through vaping than from a cigarette. So instead of getting a quick rush that dissipates quickly, it's a slower, more steady stream of nicotine that takes a little longer to go through our system.

Which would explain the vivid dreams - I know I couldn't wear the patch at night, otherwise I would wake myself up talking and laughing in my sleep  The nicotine is too much of a stimulant for my body to handle at night. I just can't believe how long before bed I have to switch to 0nic. If I don't stop nicotine at least 5 hours before bed, I can't sleep.

that may not be true- although it sure seems that way... depends on what you're using...

I didn't read the whole thread, but looking at their charts in the pdf - the levels of nicotine seemed to stay higher for longer time for PV than in the cigarette chart. The peak did appear to be the same, in the same amount of time. But then again, the chart used for the two results are different, and there's no numbers to tell exactly what is going on.

I haven't had any problems with sleep... which is odd because I've had insomnia for years now. Even with my sleep aides I would still wake up every few hours. I've been sleeping like a baby (with the sleep aides still) since I switched over. I'll probably give next week a try without the aides, but for now I'm getting a full 8 hours a night which is amazing for me. Hopefully this keeps up of my nights of 2-3 hours of sleep will be over with for good.

My sleep varies - I have bought some sleepytime green tea (the actual tea not the lung juice by Nhaler lol) which helps a lot. Dropping nic levels (to low but not zero) helps too - for some reason a little nic seems better than too much or none at all. No idea why.

Btw - plambi your icon had me slapping my PC monitor until I realised it was your icon and not an actual bug on my screen lol

... the point is they have clinical data that shows with their PV and their juice, the nicotine is absorbed into the blood at a similar rate to smoking.. not the long ramp most of us think we've been getting.

I don't think there is anything special about their system or their juice (ecopure) outside of the "purity" of their chemicals and it's in a VG base.

. Though my problem might be this forum, because all I do at night is research this new hobby! And what do I do when I lurk? I puff my 808 a little too frequently. .

lol im in the same boat.. my girlfriend calls me a crack head, for doing all kinds of search...And my brother on a different island always call me to tell me new information on e cigs, and she looks at my phone and say "babe its your crack head buddy"...lol:vapor:

I have been vaping for almost 2 weeks. I havent been able to sleep well during this time. Some nights I cannot sleep at all, some nights I can get a few hours sleep. I have also been having "restless legs" well actually "restless body". I dont know if its related to the ecigs or not, just wondering if anyone has had an experience like this.
YOu sound exactly like I did.. The insomnia goes away. Try lowering your nic level a few hours before bed. And for the restless legs, I finally narrowed it down to dehydration. PG has a tendency to dehydrate, so make sure you drinks lots of water.

the last few nights, ive had some anxiety issues and general restlessness whilst trying to get to sleep.
I think I was hitting the nic a little too hard before sleeping, and not hydrating enough either, the first two times I experienced it, I just shrugged it off and kind of assumed it was just analog withdrawl, but when it happened another two nights, I knew that wasnt the case, so less vaping just before bed has helped me too. :)
