Maybe not disturbing the carto guts would be the best thing. No washing, no pulling, no soaking, no alcohol or other foreign agents, etc.

Just take the carto you're using, when it's running low, add ten drops (sometimes just 7), spin it down (without unreasonable force, no centrifuge, no propeller, nothing like that), and vape. Repeat the process until the carto goes bad, or 3 days have passed.

A Chinese cartomizer website recommends on the world web to discard all cartos after 3 days for sanitary and hygenic reasons.

Cartomizers are truly (imo) best considered disposable, and they do not cost much. If they do, I guess wait for the next sale  ? I don;t know about this one.

Thanks everyone.

For whatever reasons, something got damaged in my other cartos.

It's not worth driving myself crazy about. I just wanted to understand what the possibilities were so I mess up my new ones. :vapor::vapor::vapor:

I appreciate everyone's understanding, input and tolerance of my financial freak-out there both in this thread and through pm's. Much appreciated. You guys are fantastic! :)

Happy vaping. :vapor:

It was using the paperclip thing - 99% sure. It likely broke the tiny wire in too many of my used cartos and when you rinse it sometimes can cause the inner mesh to cover the air hole.

Also, "I give up!"='d "I'm exhausted trying to re-filling" NOT that I give up on e-cigs.

I decided it's best to start over my carto stash and refill w/ same flavs. I doubt I'll be rinsing them but replacing them instead and find someone who can handle a 7/8ths full bottle of vodka, unless there's anything else that it can clean.

Thanks for everyone's help and concern as I was semi-briefly losing my mind, there!

Happy vaping!:vapor:

Luv you all!!

Could tap water be the cause? I'm just wondering if minerals or chemicals in the water could be doing some damage to the insides of the cartos?

Should we be using distilled or filtered water to rinse them out with?

Thanks for the tip!

Can I now turn my kitchen into a sparkling bar and never have to cook again? Dreaming, lol! --- If mixed with baking soda to kill the smell, hoping it won't over bubble or best, maybe to just leave the fan on and windows open & plug in the Glade. :D

Put the vodka in a spray bottle and use it to clean your bathroom. Leaves the hard surfaces sparkling clean minus the chemical smell of commercial cleaners. :D
