I guess this is good-bye to the vaping world

I started vaping in October 2009. Absolutely loved it! Quit analogs right away, no problem! Two months ago I started having stomach pains. I didn't connect it to my vaping. But it is! I thought some part of my e-cig was malfunctioning, so I ordered new attys, then got new kits, then tried the tank, the Kgo, went back to my ego-t. Then I changed liquids from different vendors. Nothing helped! I keep trying to vape and the pain comes back every time!! I guess I'm done vaping. I can't take this pain. I bought analogs again. Boy the taste awful!!! My family is pretty freaked out but not as freaked out as I am. At this point I would love to just walk away from all things cigarettes! Time will tell, but I am very sad now.

I used mostly PG, tried PG/VG 70/30 and have used 24mg all the time. I never used unflavored liquid. I have not gone to Dr. because the pain goes away if I do not vape.

Good bye.

I would have liked to know if you tried all PG or all VG or lowered nicotine content, or if you tried unflavored, and what the doctor said about the source of the pain, but if ya' gotta' go, ya' gotta' go.

I'm not a doctor but i play one on TV.

You may have acid reflux or indigestion or a stomach ulcer.
Vaping could be the cause. We are always inadvertently sipping on a pretty caustic liquid constantly.
However stomach pain could indicate something more serious.
Consulr your doctor if your stomach pain worsens or continues after discontinued use.

Lower the nic, and simultaneously try to go for Vg-based unflavored juice. Then you could move on from there adding flavors, going up with nic; etc... Trying to rule things out and track down the very source of the problem. And, at the same time, of course, you should see a doctor, because maybe you have something else; an underlying condition which is the very cause, only made worse by vaping. Also: try to drink plenty of water...
Etc. The "common" drill... Ya' know! =)

Seriously, totolost, you totally shouldn't just have terrible stomach pain bad enough to make you stop vaping and just be like 'whatever'

Nicotine (from my understanding) does increase stomach acid - you could be working on an ulcer or something.
Maybe it doesn't happen with cigs because you're not smoking enough yet with them or something.

I mean, after two years, I would think it's not the vaping, it's something that's changed in your body.

Please, don't just pick up the cigarettes.

GO TO YOUR DOC and get checked out.

Thanks for all the good advice. As I do not want to give up vaping! I will try all things mentioned. I do not have health insurance so that scares the crap out of me! The pain goes away and stays away if I do not vape. I only use nicotine flavor. Tried some other flavor but never liked them. Going down to 0 or low is an option worth trying. thank you all

In my heart I am not ready to give up vaping. I will try to reduce the mg to a much lower one and with the PG only, see what happens. I cannot tolerate VG so 100% PG might help. I just went to the smoke shop and bought some "yuckie" liquid that is 8mg. I have been using 24mg. They did not have unflavored though. Keep your fingers crossed.

Ya I think a lower nic level will help. I have noticed problems myself from nicotine and am finding a way to go below my current level of 12. I get stomach pains and chest pains as well. You should be able to get to at least 12 since with higher pg liquids you can still get a decent TH (if that's what you are concerned about) but I really don't see a reason to vape 24 mg. I think most of us get way more nicotine vaping than we did when smoking and is something we need to be mindful of. Also not sure what your vaping habits are but I don't think chain vaping is a good idea. We need to vape more like we smoked, just like 10-12 puffs every time you would have a cigarette.
Good luck!

I second all those that say you should go to a Doctor.

I personally do not think that vaping, PG or VG is the cause of your illness.

I will assume that the pain is not gas/indigestion as the treatments for these are readily available and you will have tried them. The chances are that a Doctor will try you on a course of antibiotics first which in the scheme of the tests/treatments available is not too expensive.

The person who mentioned diet may be onto something. If you eat a lot of rich, acidic or hot foods like tomatoes, curry, chilli, creamy cheese or white onions, you might want to lay off them for awhile. I would also take some time to look at things that cause stress. A lot of stomach problems are stress-related (that's based on my personal experience).

I repeat. Please go. I can imagine you and your family are very concerned, it would be the same with me.

Just do it okay? Please?

I will repeat what everybody has said! Go see a DR! Not to nag, as I'm sure everybody will agree!! We all just want to be supportive and see you healthy!!

Over use of nicotine can cause stomach upset, cramping, indigestion, ............ Among a plethora of other symptoms! It could be an intolerance to one of the other ingredients commonly in eliquid as others have mentioned also.

I am not a doctor, but I know for myself when I'm getting to the point where I've had too much nicotine. It starts with instant heartburn, then mild hiccups. This is the start of when I know its getting too much! If I don't put it down I know I'm on my way to other symptoms.... Headache. Stomach upset, among other things!

Something else to try among the suggestions others have mentioned, I have one more that I know helps me. Water! LOTS of water! I mean constant sipping all day. I get very bad heartburn if I don't while I'm vaping!

Again, if you are experiencing pain, please go see a dr! Its your body's way of telling you something is not right!

I hope you can keep vaping some how! Wish you all the best! Keep us updated! :)

I'll add my recommendation to others that you should see a doctor. If your elbow hurt when you bent it more than 45 degrees, you wouldn't conclude that the right answer is to not bend your elbow more than 45 degrees. You'd conclude that something was wrong that needed to be checked out before you couldn't bend it at all without pain. The same applies here.

It's not impossible for you and you alone to have a unique reaction to your juice but, it's unlikely. What's more likely is that there's some other underlying condition that is being aggravated by vaping. That condition could get a lot worse without treatment.

Here is my update. I bought 8mg from a smoke shope here and have been vaping pain free ever since. I have tried to be better at not vaping constantly as I was. This is such a huge relief. I can't tell you all how great it made me feel that so many of you took the time to give me good caring advice. I do have a dr appt coming up and will tell her what happened with my stomach pain. But so far so good. I am going to try and up to mg to 12 and see if it's ok for me. The 8mg is fine but I get a bit anxious sometimes. Thank you again for caring!!
