Funny, I live in Michigan too but in the more populated southern region. I still get stares and questions and people wanting to try it. I usually ask the waiter/manager/etc before vaping, and so far every place has been cool besides my local sushi place. For some reason, the lady I asked just giggled and said no, as if I was asking if it was ok to light up a cig right there in the shop. I just gave her a smile and said ok. Not a big deal imo, just wish she had known more about it.
