Well, after 8 wks, I have 4 analogs a week... and I love every one of them!

I think something may be lost here in some of these threads.
vaping has, for me been a wonderful life changing experience.
I never thought I could, after 35 yr of smoking analogs, change that habit.
Let's face it, we are all still SMOKERS. If we all really quit, we wouldn't be vaping nic would we? Look, I love the stories here and the excitement of changing habits and saving money and healthier lives, what could be better. This vaping doesn't mean that smoking an analog means you failed anything. When did vaping become that??
To each his or her own, but vaping for me gave me the freedom of choosing another habit of ingesting something that I like, period.
We are all still smoking so if you want to spark up some tobacco leaves or just vape some juice, enjoy it and don't think either one is so wrong.
Have fun all! :D

I went from 2 packs a day of camel 99s to 2-4 a day until I ran out.

I made it 76 hours without an analog and could not vape or snus over that hump. It is now not an everyday thing some better than others. The ones I do smoke are now the infrequent virgina slim 120 lights. And have yet to really enjoy or finish one, most of the time its in the morning doing the deed trying to get things moving.
I still have not bought a pack but I bum one every now and again from mom it is no big deal.

I am proud of myself for losing the multi pack a day habit, the multi strong coffees a day and cutting back on my red meat intake. I just took a vacation to do it all at once.

I am cutting way back on the coffee..
1 cup which is a soup bowl sized chug in the morning normally while puffing a analog while dropping a duece.
At work I normally pound 1-3 or more 18oz panama medium roasts with a double shot.
Between the nic fits and coffee cravings I was getting way to intense and aggro. I had to take a sanity vacation or risk going off on a customer or boss. (still trying to figure out which is more annoying. the cold turkey twit or the brainless I didn't do nothing customers.).

The meat I needed to cut back on and increase veggie fiber intake since traffic has kinda slowed down. First time in almost 18 years since the Navy has my guts not been messed up.
I started vaping to cut back on analogs and I have done that but the added benis of getting a healthier view in general are wins also.

Its not a matter of who quit the fastest, its a matter of we supporting one another in this battle against the demon weed.

I cannot tell you how much I agree with you. I find it disturbing when vapers begin to sound more like anti-smokers than people who have simply changed what they smoke. Personally, I believe that those who are now panicked if they have a cigarette are the ones most likely to fail at vaping in the long run. People who were pack a day smokers for decades and vapers for a month sometimes sound like evangelists, and although I am happy that they are happy, it is disturbing at a level I can't quit pin.

I agree as well. I don't sell on the web, but do sell ecig kits and supplies in my computer store. I tell each new customer - "not everyone can give up on analogs completely, just call it a victory if you can at least cut back on them".

My wife and my best friend still smoke and I actually enjoy the smell of smoke when it drifts my way. I still have 1-1/2 cartons of analogs sitting around if I need them.

I see faux is sporting the SB in his avatar! is that thing running 3.7 or 6v?

I had to tell my boss off, he quit smoking ultra lights. Cold turkey. HE is a DB and ....., now with him not "smoking" he is BEYOND DB!
I went and had one I bummed from a co worker before my sanity break, I came in and he went all anti on me about how I stink and how I was weak and needed to man up.
I do not think he realized how close to getting ended he actually came.
I did however explain to him, small victories are still victories and my fight with analogs is mine and personal and none of his effing business and mind his own.

I consider vaping to be my loophole. ;)

I wanted to quit analogs and kept trying and failing but never really wanted to give up the "smoking" part. Makes it kind of hard, right?

Once I figured out the vaping thing, I could give up the analogs. I don't feel like I gave anything up except paying euro 4.80 for my girly cigs. (about $7.25)

I will tell you that it took several months of "figuring out" to finally let go of analogs. For me, it was an perfect trade.

BTW, they can have my coffee and steak when the four horsemen come and snatch it from my hands! :D
