Not really, I just wanted to show off the lab that rescued us today. We lost our beloved lab in April to cancer and vowed to never go through that again.

Yay! Good for you. Nothing better than coming home to an excited greeting![]()
I think that, more than anything, has been the thing I missed the most over that last 6 months of not having a dog. Every night, when I pulled into the garage and got out, I would miss the sound of a big old tail thumping on the wall in the house. Then, my wife would always holler "Why are you coming home half drunk?" and I would tell her "Because I ran out of money."
She's beautiful! So nice to think of her settling into her new happy life! Not really, I just wanted to show off the lab that rescued us today. We lost our beloved lab in April to cancer and vowed to never go through that again.
We had a 'rescue' ..cost us an overnight trip & £600, but she was the tiniest and most in need little scrap we ever saw (undersized red toy poodle). 1 year old, twisted spine due to a hip disease and a terrible skin problem - malnutrition very apparent. The affluent breeders that imported her realised they couldn't show her, so neglected her, and she'd never had a bowl of food all to herself ..took 6 months to get her used to that.Rescue dogs are special. They've almost always been through less than desirable circumstances and are so appreciative of the little things and uber faithful.
So true! They're good for the soul.Everyone should have a dog in their life as most dogs are better than most people.
