I have defeated your coil gunking insanity

My wife asked him about that bumper sticker once (I thought it was brilliant and hillarious, but she thought she was offended) and after speaking with him for some time about it she realized that he had just done it all in "good fun" as a Pepsi vs Coke type of thing. He said that the ones who usually get the biggest laugh out of it are die hard cotton users. I love that about this industry, people know how to take a joke! :) We use RxW btw, and LOVE it :) I strongly suggest you try it if you haven't!

hmm i would if it was avaible locally.. stuck with ekowool but havent mastered tight microcoils on that stuff yet (yes even with hollow wool with a piece of metal through it).

I stopped reading right there. Those who want to drip on the move get a bottom feeder, or one of these ungainly Vapemate things. Period. If you're doing something else, you're not dripping, you're not going to get the same results, and you're wasting your time and your money.

I squonk as well, but I find the kayfun to be great for on the go situations. My biggest gripe with the Reo is that you really have to commit to one flavor for an extended period of time (like a day or so....lol). I'm constantly changing throughout the day. Fact that I can burn off the coil and reload makes it very nice for someone with a short flavor attention span.

On a side note, I have 3 authentic Kayfuns...GCD and Radioactive seem to live in 2 of them. Well played Kent....well played.

Thanks for the link... I've wanted an original Kayfun for a while now and finally have one on the way :)

So, My KFL+ showed up today. I have to say that it's a night and day difference in quality over my KFL clone. First difference I noticed was that the chamber was quite a bit taller than the one in the clone. Not sure if that's KFL vs. KFL+ difference, but the original KFL+'s chimney/chamber if a full 4mm taller.

I had some 3mm RxW left that I used in my Link dripper so I decided to give it a try. I wrapped a 1.7 ohm coil on a 2.5mm screw driver, mounted it at a 45 degree angle on the deck, and the 3mm RxW slid right into the coil with room to slide easily. I cut the wick so that it would lay on its side in the juice wells, screwed down the chamber, and tucked in the wick. I gave the wick a soak juice and put it all back together.

I already had some CLS/CB going in the KFL clone wicked with cotton, so I filled up the new KFL+ with the same blend and vaped them side by side. With both tanks set to 8.5 watts; the 1.8 ohm cotton build on an SVD, and the 1.7 ohm RxW build on my Zen, I gave em a vape and Holy CtrippleR A P!! Totally different vapes! While I have to admit, the cotton made bigger clouds, the flavor with RxW was astounding!!! I'm still playing with the AFC to find that sweet spot. It's funny but it's kind of like having a "volume control" for your flavor experience.

I'm going to have to order a foot or two of the 2mm RxW to see if it makes a difference. The 3mm is too stiff to "glue in place" with juice before putting the chamber together. Plus the 3mm really fills the juice well and may be choking off the juice supply. I find at higher wattage's, you'll get some what of a "dry hit" on long draws....

All in all, I think I'm gonna like RxW in my Kayfuns...

Always a win when I manage to secure a full time spot in an ADHH vapers rotation <3

I completely dropped the ball on GCD. I've had so many cinnamon vapes it was always a "meh" type of thing when I saw it on you site. Last order I figured I'd do a good quantity of 15ml things just to see if I'd missed a "hidden gem". I missed a hidden gem in that. I guess I don't hear people talking about it much here because we focus so much on the "new hotness" or when short runs will be here/gone. Now Kent, you gotta get a Nicoticket liquid my girlfriend likes that won't eat her Nautilus heads. There's something about bakery vapes that she doesn't care for and despite my full aresenal of RBAs, she still likes that Nautilus. Go forth and bring me vape. (Just a few more days before Raz Cup, which if I like I will constantly bug you to bring back in the next few weeks).

I too love switching flavors all the time, and that's precisely why I like squonkers. Remember, there are two juice inlets in a bottom feeder: the bottle at the bottom of course, but you can also drip normally from the top.

So when I can sit down and drip in peace, I drip. When I can't (typically when I'm driving), I fall back on the mod's bottle. I carry 4 bottles of juice in my vaping case, along with a spare soft squonking bottle, and the one that's mounted in the mod. That makes 6 flavors I can choose from all day long: the 4 I can drip when I have the opportunity, and two squonking bottle I can realistically install in the mod safely while driving on the freeway.

I have some requests to fulfill - I promised OR3O and Raz Cup before the whole SR thing becomes history.

I think I've tried everything on the site but GCD. Never ordered it b/c I'm not a fan of cinnamon. Is it that good?

I practically have a billboard in my hometown talking about GCD because I love it so much - I talk about it all the time. I guess I should talk about it on here more so it won't be so hidden. It's not your average cinnamon danish. It's that frigging good. That different. That amazing. I won't ever be without it.... if ammunition has to be involved.

YES!!!! If you don't like it, I promise with 100% certainty that I will buy your bottle from you, no matter what nic strength it is if you don't like it. LOL. Just try it.

It's not average cinnamon - its bakery cinnamon danish - nothing like a cinnamon gum at all.... like eating a cinnamon roll, its warm complex cinnamon on the inhale and the sweetness of the icing on the exhale. It's complex, its rich - its just not a sickly sweet hot style cinnamon at all.

I will add that to my order that I will be making for whatever releases on Wednesday. :)

I was just about ready to retire the last of my Gravity & Refresh (my favorite e-juice of all time) because of the gunking issues. I even bought a Reo just to use these - that's how much I like 'em. But, I couldn't even go an hour without having to unwick & dry burn my coil. I don't run sub-ohm & like to keep it around 1-1.5 ohm (could be if I ran hotter, it would keep my coil cleaner) because I like the cooler vape. I changed my wicks to EkoWool (some help - at least it can be heated to clean), but still a pain. I've been considering XC-116 for quite some time, so today I bit the bullet and ordered both diameters. I'm counting on it being the pot-of-gold at the end of my Nickoticket rainbow. This is some mighty special e-juice - considering I've bought a Reo, an RM2 & now wicking at $8/ft, just so I can "get my fix" and chain vape this deliciousness. These are certainly not the only e-juices that I have that don't play nice with coils, so I'm very hopeful about the Ready X Wick.

Good evening mom, you did the right thing. Nextel is the cleanest wicking material I have ever studied in my one year consumer study of vaping wicking media. The RxW "Thin" is preferable for a REO and easier to thread for us mature folks on a common 1/16" drill bit. I've written extensively about these small winds for use in the Kanger Protank on the thread...http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/clearomizers/486794-protank-microcoil-discussion.htmll. I introduced a whole new brand of winding based on the physics principle of tension (strain, or stretch) which allows you to make a perfect electrical wind in seconds, like voila

These days I'm not recommending a screwdriver but a pin vise. And this is a good example of this common hobby tool which is comfortable to use and can handle a wide range of bit diameters.

Brass Rubber Handled Swivel Head Pin Vise 4 Sizes Of Chucks

A 1/16" drill bit is readily available and works fine. A drill blank is a drill bit without the flutes. Google for a list of sources but be careful of minimum order quantities. You can get different sizes for your other RBA's if you have some.

Not to worry if you don't have coiled wire for your wind. If you have loose wire you can grip the wire with a forceps under a book say and pull the wire onto the bit with enough tension. It will be the most beautiful coil you ever made. And you'll do it in seconds.

With a little practice, a few attempts, you'll be creating perfect coils for the REO in a snap. And if you run into trouble come and see us and post your question on the above microcoil thread or this REOS thread...http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/reos-mods/539791-readyxwick-non-cotton-people.html. We'll be sure and lend a hand.

Good luck.

:)

And a juice blender killer...:(

Some truth to that, another reason I am not particularly fond of it... one of the novel parts of our line-up is that, with the exception of Gravity, you can naturally transition from flavor to flavor with a "dirty tank" REO and still get a great vape. The flavor/hybrid combinations are virtually endless. OR3O is NOT REO material.
