Question for those of you who have a vv device - do you find yourself considering lowering your nic level at all?

Not me, I want to up mine :D I'm still waiting on some nic juice though, I used to vape 28, got a bunch of 24 mg juice but ended up being less satisfied and having to smoke quite a few more cigarettes. So with the Darwin I can turn this juice up and now I'm smoking less than ever. I still want to jack up all my juices to 30 or more, with the nic juice I will be able to mess around, my expectations though are that I'll finally be able to get enough nic from vaping to satisfy me :)

As far as if you were satisfied with your nic level and then you get a VV, and you do want to cut down on nic, this would definitely allow you to do it. Keep in mind though that we're not talking about cutting down the amount of nic that your body absorbs, you're just buying a weaker juice to get the same effect. I don't think there's any shortcuts to getting by on less nic other than gritting your teeth :)

The benefits here go well beyond just getting more nic in your lungs, it's hard to explain if you haven't experienced it but it's more like the vape is more satisfying overall. My thinking has always been that the medium provides a fair bit of the buzz, particularly the PG, I haven't really read about anyone else talking about this but it sure seems to me to be the case. Nic in itself will only do so much. I find vaping a better buzz than smoking though although I do need to make sure I'm getting enough nic as well, and cranking up the wattage seems to allow everything to be atomized and thus absorbed more efficiently.

On the other hand, there are limitations here and there is a balance here and you don't want to dry the vape out too much by burning it too hot, so it's something you need to play around with. As far as I know though you can turn pretty much anything up to in the 4's which will provide you with more of a nic hit than stock batteries.

I will tell you though that lower resistance and higher voltage is much different than people think, at least subjectively. I didn't really care for low res to be honest and I've found that a VV not only lets you customize things more but it's an all around better vape, much better in fact. So standard res plus VV is the ticket IMO.

Good to know, thanks all! I guess I'll figure it out when my vv boxmod arrives. Currently I vape 12mg in a dc (1.7ohms) on a 3.7v and at times, I'm finding the TH to be almost too harsh. I guess my vaping has evolved also because I'm now more interested in lots of flavour and tons of vapour - throat hit for me is best at 'smooth'. Most of my juice now is at least 50%.

I've also found low res atties too harsh on the throat, and on the lungs as well. I rarely cough from cigarettes and the plan was to cough less, not more. LR atties definitely had me coughing a lot more. Now, I get a better nic hit and the vape is also very smooth, as smooth as you want to set it. Best of both worlds here.
