This has been an interesting thread to read... Having been through several dozen PVs in a year and a half, and experiencing all of the high end variables and regulated mods I can honestly say the higher priced offerings are worth the investment.

And to those that seek cheap alternatives to proven performers, I have one question:

If you can't muster up the funds to do it RIGHT, where will you ever find the money to do it AGAIN when the cheapie fails to get The job done?

Seriously... just because a person isn't using an expensive mod doesn't mean they aren't doing it "RIGHT".
There are as many people that say they tried a "insert $$$$$ mod here" and afterward decided that they were just as happy vaping their smaller/cheaper 3.7v pv. Spending a load of cash on a shiny, super, digital, does your windows too device isn't necessarily for everyone. Nor is spending an extra bill just to have a custom made fancy wooden box. For those who like it and want to, great! But there are good, solid performing options for everyone else too.

I swear if some of the people around here fell of their high horses they'd have time to pop a chute before landing.

Personally, I don't get why people like the Darwin so much. I understand that it automatically adjusts the wattage to your preference regardless of what atty you use. My biggest complaint about it, and the reason I won't get one, is that you can't change the battery. You have to send it back to EVOLV and pay $25 to get the battery replaced. Batteries fail and I don't want to be without my mod for a week while it gets replaced. But maybe the fancy electronics make up for that. I don't know.

OK, you busted me... the cheap garbage that fails all the time and is the topic of hundreds of complaint threads here on ECF is just as good as the uber-reliable higher end mods... my bad. I'm glad you were able to my diminish my education in making many mistakes by buying the "wrong" thing to a simple and concise insult.

I deserved that...

I guess I should have worded the last sentence to be "If you can't muster up the funds to do it RIGHT, where will you ever find the money to do it AGAIN IF the cheapie fails to get The job done?"

Is that better?

I LOVE my uber cheap $17 VV box mod :D. We all have very different tastes and needs. Your 'Holy Grail' may not be the next person's and visa versa. That little nugget of wisdom and truth may be the art of Zen to me (but maybe not to you) :p.

Not everyone likes the Darwin. Have you seen Scott's YouTube review?

What Volcano site? OK, I'm going to google it.

EDIT:
OK, I'v read all about how natural lava tubes work during a volcano eruption... volcanic craters and scalded forests...
Think I may need some help here?

dragonbone, i sent an email here: info@volcanoecigs.com

asking if i can preorder one. They sent me an email back yesterday saying i was on the list to pre-order and they would send me instructions within the next week on how to order. Argghh! I thought they were going up for sale today! Im gonna keep my eye on the site tho. Buy E-Cigarette | Safety Electronic Cigarette | Electronic Cigarettes

So you placed a pre-order like a day ago and already received a response? I sent mine in today asking for it. However, I am torn between jumping the gun now or waiting for the Chrome version.

Well it says on the thread by joe volcano that they should have the units on friday or monday and they will email the preorder people. You can only buy it in a kit and only in black. Then i think they out to everybody on December 1st i think he said, in all the colors and if you want to buy individual pieces.

Sorry to be so lazy, but I just don't feel like trawling through 43 pages of that thread. Do you perhaps know off hand what other colors there will be? If not, don't bother, I can wait and see later, since I won't be ordering now anyway... I'm going on leave next month, so don't want to chance ordering something that may be delivered when I'm not home.
