I have used several 510 atty's and cartos and a 306 and what I love about it is the .1 volt increments you can make any atty or carto perform to your liking. Also the kits are shipping with 2 18650 batts 2 (2.5 ohm) and a charger for around $100.00.

They are called by a diff name but they are the lava tube. Volcano has the exclusive name and distro rights in the US but not here in the great white north. They are all manufactured by L-Rider. And yes I do love it. If I say "try this" to my wife one more time she is going to shoot me.

Why would anyone recommend a device that hasn't even shipped yet, hasn't been in the field and is made by some unknown, 4th tier China manufacturer?

I guess you have been a user of L-Rider Technology Co products? Which ones, and how have they held up?

Chinese PV makers can't even make a decent simple tube mod, and some of the new breed still can't even make a decent atty connector.

I based my recommendation on what others have reported from early uses in another hemisphere. It isn't out yet, yes, but it will be soon. For the price when it comes out, its at least a good way to try VV, and I'm sure it would be easy to sell if the OP decided to get another, nicer, VV device. Thanks though WillyB. I always love to hear from you. And as for Chinese products, I guess we shouldn't use any cartomizers or atomizers on the market, as that's where they are all from, right?

Only the HH .357 may be used.

I got on the pre-order for the lavatube as well. But because of the delay and them not carrying the chrome version till a later date I've just decided to sit back and wait to see what the general consensus is with their durability and how they perform in general. Yes the initial reviews are good but how does it last hold up to a couple months of use? The 1 year warranty Volcano is backing this with makes me think that it's worth the buy. But I'd rather see what the big picture is before spending any more of my precious vaping budget on this as my first mod. And due to the amp limiting on this device I don't think it's going to play well with my coveted DCC Tanks. Quality and durability are the main factors in making the plunge and I don't think that the lavatube has earned the hype surrounding it yet other than being cheap, a tube, and VV. (and yes I saw the video of the guy tossing it on the floor)......
I'm thinking for a newb to vaping maybe I've spent too much time over the past two months reading reviews haha.

How is that Prodigy treating you paulc35?

Regarding the warranty... meh... who cares... the whole kit is a hundred bucks and I don't expect it to work forever. I'm getting one because I'm bored and want a cheap hardware thrill, and the only stuff I buy is something I can't easily make myself. It's gonna end up in the drawer next to the ProVari I rarely use.

LOL, well I have to say that my provari doesn't get much use anymore. Have better things that rock my vaping world now. I seen that the lavatube only has a 3 month warranty too, I guess your right, it's a China product and they won't even back it up and you get what you pay for. When you toss it in the drawer please put "Forward to Camino" on it please lol
