I wonder if one could even vape outside in the winter, I think juices are too thick, I'm further north than you are Roscoe, we'll have to compare notes in January when it's -45 lol.

Reasonably cold is no problem. In my first year of vaping I vaped outside down to about -4 deg F (-20 deg C). I would keep the PV inside my coat though when not vaping to keep the battery reasonably warm and that took care of the juice too.

Now, -45 is another thing altogether. I experienced that when I lived in Edmonton and know that's COLD!

What a load of....

Dear OP--show your wife the list of published data that shows that second hand vapor is totally harmless and won't harm anyone. Geez.... Join CASAA and educate yourself, your wife and your wife's friend.

CASAA: New study confirms that chemicals in electronic cigarettes pose minimal health risk

You don't have to go outside to vape. Unless you want to. :D

I'm in the same boat. As soon as I started vaping there was the flu going around. So my wife researched vapor and found this article and attributed her illness to my vapor. I never fogged out the house, just 4 or 5 puffs an hour or so. So yeah, I'm back outside as well.

The dangerous chemicals are a reality if you vape at insanely high temps. If you do the research you find that diacetyl and other bad things that could be produced generally occur at temps we don't reach unless we vape on a dry wick. Yuck!

Keep it reasonable at a level that recreates that of a standard cigarette, keep your wick from going dry, and the bad chemicals aren't produced. It's why I try to stay at 3.7v and 1.8 ohms. That gives me a cigarette like experience with good flavor. It's the push to high watts that is more likely to produce the bad stuff if the wick isn't able to keep up. Anything with a dry wick will heat up and begin to produce new chemicals. Don't let that happen.

It's just my belief, but I don't really think the bad chemicals are produced within reasonable vaping ranges. Coming down hard on ecigs because they can be abused or used improperly is like outlawing automobiles because people can create unsafe conditions by driving recklessly and exceeding speed limits.

This study has graphs showing the output of ecigs and comparisons to EPA guidelines for daily exposure. If you get bored with reading the whole report, at least look at the test results and the charts that compares vaping exhale to EPA standards for clean air. We beat them all by a significant margin. That starts on page 15 and continues on a few pages.

I'm trying to persuade my boss into letting the employees vape indoors. I talked to him yesterday and he said he'd "check around" with his collegues and those higher above him. ;/ I just don't want to have to vape outside this winter..

Winter is coming..
Unfortunately North Dakota already has a law against vaping in the workplace.
