I now know first hand that vaping improves my circulatory system.

Having been a heavy smoker for 35 years till switching to ecigs 3+ months ago, my fingers would turn blue and numb whenever exposed to cold weather even for short periods. Didn't think about it until the last few days while working outside in the cold. I'll be darned, my hands just get pink like a kid again when cold.

Forty year smoker and my hearing improved. :)
Congrats on seeing pink again!!!
That would amazing. Waiting to see if anything improves.

About the only thing I like about mild hearing loss is this: you know how in some horror movies, etc. a little girl will scream at near the pitch where only dogs hear? I don't hear that anymore. :D

Gets a "Me too!" on this one. Wasn't going blue but in the last couple years the cold was just biting through my hands and feet after being out in winter cold, in a very short time. I know what that means for a smoker and it's not a good sign. This year? Significant improvement - huge - compared to what it was last season.

I know what you mean, but it isn't that vaping improves circulation - smoking kills it. Especially in those tiny peripheral blood vessels. Our bodies are starting to heal the damage done by smoking.

Hello all , 29 year 1pk last 10 years 1 1/2 pack a day ananlogs been vaping 4 months and I can smell so much better .... My mother was over 50 yr smoker and even though she wont admit it I know she had to have been 2 plus pks a day. I got her on vaping 3 months ago and stopped smoking after her first vape and she is vaping 0 nicotine already. The amazing thing I talk to her daily and I could hear her wheez with just about every inhale on the phone. She stopped doing that after the first week of vaping. Its just amazing how easy this transition has been and the great changes that we are seeing. Keep on vaping~~~

You know, you can interpret that "...I can smell so much better..." in more than one way. I sorry. I can't help myself.

But it's true! Since I could smell so much better I couldn't stand the stale smoke smell in everything around me. Had to was the hats, coats, back pack... So I cleaned it all. So I could smell so much better.

I did it again, didn't I? I will stop now...

Honestly, congrats to both of you! Especially Mom!

Wow - how did your Mom take to e-cigs? I wonder how the older generations adapt. (Not that I'm exactly that young either...) I've talked to a couple friends who are 70+ and really need to quit, but they can't get past the technology issue. To them a battery is something you buy and toss out when it's dead. The idea of a battery charger is foreign. And the concept of refilling anything just overwhelmed them and they wanted no part of it.

She didnt have a problem at all with it. She is in her late 60's not much into technology, half the time she post on the wrong wall on facebook lol (god love her) but she really liked it enough that she hasnt had a cigarette since. You are right about the smell factor I did have to stop and rephrase how I wrote that because at first it was that like I stunk which was probably true. I can smell the cigs on people now and sometimes Its pretty strong. So I smell better through my nose and any non smokers nose lol.

It's been cool & rainy here these last couple of days. I'm diabetic; my feet usually feel miserably cold in weather like this, and all winter long basically. Not these last couple of days though. If what I'm feeling is the real deal, I attribute it to carbon monoxide leaving my system, allowing O2 to attach to my red blood cells.
This winter will tell the tale. I remain hopeful.

Smell is improving, when I stubbed my toe (think one might be broken) my blood was actually bright red instead of purple!!! Vaping does make your circulatory system work better.

One thing that isn't talked about much is a link that smoking has on ED (so I have read). So if you have a buddy that smokes and is taking a ...... or ...... vaping might be a cheaper way to put down those pills and put on some Barry White :)

No more laying in bed trying to get to sleep listening to the wheezing in your lungs :)

Hi

Have your brought up this topic with you MD yet, the fact that you quit and are vaping? Smoking can be a very serious matter for diabetics in context of how diabetes also damages peripheral blood vessels. It would be interesting to hear some MD feedback. Obviously for your specific case, but what they have to say about the "good vs. evil" issue regarding "Is vaping a better thing to do, if it can result in a diabetic is no longer smoking?"

I have not yet. I do understand that smoking is about the worst thing to do with the circulation issues you mention. I can't help but believe that being more oxygenated must be the far better alternative. I'm hoping that the doc would agree; I would think so, but who knows? At any rate, BP has nothing to gain in my case, as I refuse to take Wellbutrin or Chantix.
