I can't find what thread this post was in.
Someone had posted that when refilling their cartridges, they kinda pulled the filler apart-thinning it out.
Long story short, I was washing my cart fill and I noticed it puffed up and sort of fell apart in the hot water. No problem. I dried it and let it sit over night, my pieces seemed smaller because some of them split in two. I did what the poster had recommended, just pulled it into a long shape, I then kinda just folded or mashed in the end that sits near the attomozer end with the little splinter tweezers I use.
My carts last way longer. No more constant filling.
So basically I am using a bit less poly filler when I reuse the carts but so far so great.
I played around with the fluval stuff this morning. Bleck, it had a weird taste. It was just the white foam fluval pads (not the brush)
I am going to stick with the regular filler and just pull it apart like someone had suggested. I wanted to thank her for the tip. It works awesome and is so much simpler and faster to use than some of the other methods.
