I remember trying my friends Ego type lonng time ago and not being completely satisfied with it.
I remember trying another another one, that was much more satisfying, and becoming interested in vaping.

I remember the ego coming and not buying one, but then, I didn't buy into the 510 either. By then I had learned that the new, next, best, thing,... wasn't.
I did finally buy an ego kit in about 2012, to get back off analogs, but it was still a lot of work. Bought an itaste, better, but didn't do it.
2014, I think we have arrived. 2 isticks, an Egrip, and a 3400 mah PCC for my Erolls. Stockpile of coils, wick and nic. Bring it!!

I remember back in 2009. My wife received her cigalike in the mail. I exhaled vapor from my nose. Made the kids laugh. I felt no nic, and tasted like licking a stamp. Popped in another snus 
A year later we bought his and hers eGo's with mega atomizers. Haven't stopped since. I do miss the Boge Leo with the blue foam though

I never owned an Ego. They were the big thing, but after my Joye 501, I felt like anything battery specific was expensive in the long run. I got a deal on a Kamry K100. I remember just looking it over when it came in the mail. It was just so high tech.

I'm sure you remember the Youtube vid that was titled something like, "the Evolution of Vaping" by one of the members here whose avatar was of a guy in big tinted sunglasses i think.
It ran down all the types of ecigs available and got all the way to .... i think just before variable voltage? lol.
Those were the days when you could get your bearings on what was out there.
Oh yeah and that website that had ALL the devices listed with photo's and the vendor's contacts... it might still be current; i'll take a look.

I have to > LOL! I remember when the VV came out, I was thinking "a regular ego is fine, I didn't taste a difference between 3.8 and 4 on the ce5 so I was spending an extra $15 on it, what a gimmick.....".
I love extra watts....30,40,50....yes please!!

I remember my first vape, I got a cig-a-like at a flea market in about 2010 the filter end had foil on it that you peeled back, then you stabbed the battery section right into the filter section. Absolutley horrible.
I remember discovering that I could screw a blu filter onto a little ego battery and loving how much longer the battery life was. I could go through an entire 5 pack of blu carto filters in a day.
I remember drilling out my first evod and thinking it was the best vape I would ever have.
I remember trolling these forums looking for juice to try and falling in love with deadly sin, bobas bounty, frankenvape...
I remember the first time I vaped a sub ohm dripper at a vape shop in houston ( apple jax ) I felt like I just inhailed an entire box of apple jacks cerial.
I remember flipping the rubber cup on my protank 2, dry burning the coils and removing a wick... and then having a flooded tank.
I remember the amazing vape i got from my first MVP. And wanting to cry after I screwed up my provari after taking it skinny dipping in the gulf of mexico drunk with friends.
I dont ever remember times that good with cigarettes... just a lot of teeth brushing, breath mints, and bad coughs in the winter.

My first setup was a greensmoke set. I went all out with the 2 battery pack. $250 IIRC. Then moved on to volcano and got their inferno kit when it came out, then went to a vape meet and got ahold of an empire mod. Then I discovered ECF. It all went uphill from there.

Back in the day people vaped as an alternative to smoking. Now everybody wants extremely low resistance coils and 30-100w batteries to blow vapor for fun. How much nicotine are these modern vapers using?
I remember back in the day, instead of being on vaping forums all day at work, being on Marlboro forums and arguing the safety of ultra lights vs. lights. 
There's a reason that lower nicotine levels are becoming MUCH more popular.
I even remember reading somewhere that zero nicotine sales are very strong these days.
The super low resistance, high power vapers are using 3-6 mg in the belief that they are now vaping lite, low nicotine. They never consider that if they vape 10 mL of 3mg eliquid, it's exactly the same as someone else vaping 2 mL of 15 mg, both contain 30mg of nic total.
Back in the day the crappy equipment required higher strength eliquid just so we could get some effect. The current crop of tanks and toppers are far more efficient. I would even argue using the older equipment, we absorbed a good percentage of our daily nicotine by skin contact from leaky attys and carts.....

I remember, back in the day, when I was eager for Super T, the maker of the first commercial drip tip, to come out with their whistle tip version. Sad to see this past giant closing out their e-cig manufacturing.
