More than likely! I remember wanting to start a thread as a fairly new member, less than a month, and just got my Nova and finally put the cigs away. I couldn't make a new thread.....I hadn't even discovered the different sections of the forum. I found out about the 70 limit at that time. Oh boy, I must have been a chatty person back then too!

I'm pretty sure there wasn't a limit when I started. They instated it because too many people stayed in the New Members section long after they weren't noobs (not just answering questions, but for all their vaping needs.)

When I joined there was no requirement to post in the New Members forum. My very first post (just checked ) was in the V4L forum. Took me years to discover the New Members forum, come to think of it...

I was discouraged back in 2010. Now I'm a non smoker and love my setup! My wonderful MVP and EVODs!!!!

I'm surprised that brands like Blu are still around. They're so expensive compared to setups with so much more power and flexibility. A basic eGo with a clearomizer would beat them in a challenge. Yet they survive.

I guess some people don't do any research before buying. For me to skip researching something would be like my skipping nicotine. Not happening.

The grocery store near my house sells what appear to be pen style kits and liquids in the tobacco section but I haven't checked prices. I have seen Blu at Walgreens.

I first got into e-ciggs a couple of years ago. What I remember is hating almost everything about them. Cartomizers that never tasted right, too expensive to try anything that might be better, etc. Spent a lot of money, and finally found the vape I was looking for.

It was a Wizard-stick+turkey-baster. It let me play around with the juices, produced lots of volume without tearing the crap out of my throat, I vaped that for months. When it died, I went back to analogs full-time (never quit them, but they were really in the background for a while). Even though I spent a lot of money on e-cigs back then, it really was "Go for cheap stuff" or "Go for more expensive stuff and hope it isn't crap". And "cheap" was $90.

Lo and behold, a few years later (a few weeks ago) I go on a business trip and meet a guy who has an itaste VV/VW 3 sitting on the table, with a tank on it. Didn't hear a word of what he said for tomorrow's meeting, I couldn't take my eyes off his setup; he popped on a drip carto and I was right back in the game. The cheap stuff these days is light-years over the most advanced stuff of only a couple of years ago.

So I'm back into vaping, spent a bunch of money again, but this time it's so much better! Clearomizers: Why would anyone use cartos, or even carto tanks today? Cartos just bring back so many nightmares; I never want to deal with them again. And so much more going forward (RDA's and decent dripping atty's).

Sometime soon we'll get an APV that works like the wizard-stick on a good day, but in the mean time I am again a happy puppy!

That's funny. It must be a personality thingy. If I had to use clearos or drip it'd be a nitemare.

But people do well with all these different heads. Maybe it's just a willingness to make it to the other side of the learning curve.

Damn, so did I! Just dragged my spools of nichrome and Kanthal, my pyrex capillary tubes, etc. out of the closet and thinking about trying it again. Unfortunately, I'm a born tinkerer with no mechanical skills whatsoever. (At work, just the sight of me with a soldering iron in my hand would cause my co-workers to immediately jump up and offer to do the job for me ;-)

I did go through a lot of juice, even with buying hi-test juices and thinning them down with VG and/or Everclear. Also recycling the spillover from the "empty" to the "fill" side. But boy oh boy, the buttery-vanilla taste of that slug of cooled vapor tasted so good!!! Still haven't been able to match that with anything else (and still trying!).
