I own an I50 and I have had no problems with it over the last 3-4 months. With that said I still was not able to recommend it to someone who asked me about it. I have read enough here and elsewhere and there are so many choices why take the risk? I still use mine most of the time but keep a close eye on it. I am not going to toss it in the trash, give it away, and definitely not sell it. I will keep on using it. If it shows any sign of not functioning properly it will go in the trash. I take very good care of my mods and this thing gets tender care.

I see there are 17 people viewing this thread... any comments from the spectators?

Nope, not from me. Everything that needs to be said in this thread has already been said multiple times (and mostly by the same handful of people). I actually ignored this thread earlier today but I simply can't help myself and keep checking in to read the new posts.

I feel the same way about Keeping Up With The Kardashians. :D

:) Proud to entertain, caferacer. I think I'll sign off this thread For a while. Beating a dead horse gets Old.

I've had mine now for about a month and a half and I have beaten this thing up, I've accidentally dropped it a dozen times it's got chips and scratches but I still haven't had a single problem not one, I love this thing maybe just bad batches are ruining it's name
........I'm getting my horse beating club back out!

I was thinking about this while i was painting the porch today...if it had happened to me, I'd be ...... too, no doubt. I really think your best chance at satisfaction is through your local vape shop where you bought it. I assume they've said they won't replace it, and told you to contact Eleaf. I'd contact them again, by email, and tell them they are selling a product with a warranty and then refusing to honor that warranty. Might be something the state Consumer's Affair office (whatever it's called) might be interested in. Then I'd post on Craigslist: hey if you buy stuff at joe's vaporama, don't expect aftersales support, it might be better to take your business to Joanne's instead.
Put pressure on the people most in the position to help you. Eleaf doesn't care if they lose you as a customer, you local vape shop presumably would. Sorry if this idea has been floated before.
I also realized today that when i bought the istick50, i got the 'full kit'...but the charger and cord are still in the box! I charge with a LG phone charger, now i'm wondering whether I should switch to the OEM one or keep using the one I've been using. Kind of ironic, I guess.

If you frequent this or other forums, you'd realize this IS a widespread issue with this model.

These units use a LiPo battery, which is not safe chemistry. When this chemistry battery vents, it vents with flames and can potentially explode.

Baditude has spoken. I'm done. :)

Yes, I've watched this thread from the start, I don't own an Istick, but wanted to get one when they first came out. I sat back and waited to see how they held up over time. I won't be buying one, in any watt level offered. In the end, it's just not my cup of tea.

I am still using an old MVP2 with an internal battery, when that goes, I will only use devices with a removable cells which are charged independently. I value safety and durability. Any device capable of turning itself on and autofiring, no matter how low the incidence rate, gives me concern for the possibility of something very bad happening to someone somewhere. Not a gamble I am willing to take, or recommend to another.
