All over the place
Laughing with lungs full of vapor sucks worse than laughing after inhaling smoke. And smoke is pretty bad

You know!

I only really recommend to beginners. 50watt APV's aren't on that list. If the person has progressed far enough to use a 50W, he's progressed far enough to do his own research.

Salient point.

I agree but right now there's a thread on the new members forum where someone is recommending a istick 30 or 50. I'm cool with the 30 its a solid device but they had to add the 50

One MAJOR problem is that yeah, there's all this great info here at ECF, and if you google ANYTHING about e-cigs, some ECF post(s) is going to be on the first page somewhere; but some people, for reasons I've never been able to fathom, are actually AFRAID of the internet, of forums, of Google, of PCs themselves -- so they don't even look; the internet never even enters their consciousness -- except as something to be afraid of. I don't think there's a facepalm big enough to cover that. It's like they're living in a house that's all wired and utilitied to the max, but they never turn on the lights or the furnace/AC or flush a toilet. I'll never get it.

Well if they frequently roam here or other forums I don't see how they aren't aware people have had problems with them. In this thread alone someone said well I haven't had a problem so I won't stop recommending them. I haven't had a problem with menopause but I'm aware it happens lol. Like I said when I recommend something I try and give the pros and cons. I mean inexperienced vapers are asking because they think we should know the good and bad. Most people I believe just don't want to say anything negative about something they bought. They gotta justify buying it and other people pay the price sometimes

To me, it kinda comes down to Are people making a Recommendation in "Good Faith".

Take this for Example...

I'm a custard fan and I've found a new ADV custard juice. Penthouse Dream by Gallery. It's like a bourbon infused vanilla custard. Just a heads up the label is a bit racy and probably not for the easily offended.

Seems pretty Run of the Mill to me. Just someone telling others about an e-Liquid they tried and Like.

But what happens if the Flavoring that is used in this e-Liquid turns out to be High in Diacetyl? Did the person giving the Recommendation do Extensive Research on this e-Liquid? Have they done Reaserch on Diacetyl? Either way, Some people are Going to Freak Out.

But was the person who made this Recommendation acting in "Good Faith" if they didn't know that the e-Liquid contains High Levels of Diacetyl?

I think they are/were. So the Whole thing about People making Recommendations is kinda Tangled.

NOTE: I am Not saying that the e-Liquid Mentioned in this Post has High Levels of Diacetyl. I have No Clue what type of Flavoring is in it. Only using it as a Hypothetical Situation.

Hey, sometimes people just refuse to be informed. My mom and my brother are like that. They pretty much take my vaping advice as gospel. With great power comes great responsibility I guess.

With a red face I'm going to confess i've never in my life bought anything online. I know I know. I've had my identity stolen before and had to get new numbers and now I'm afraid to. I recently had a conversation here telling someone I was going to learn by using a prepaid credit card but i've been told they are not good to use. I want to get verified and bonified lol here but I've never had a PayPal or anything similar. I'm a caveman. I used to click two rocks together when I lit cigarettes lol

Yeah, and my mom still gives me that "where'd you learn that?" with nearly everything that comes out of my mouth. The answer always used to be "I read it in a book," but lately, more and more it's "I read it on the internet, maybe you've heard of that?" :D

I agree but this forum isn't pasted with problems with that juice and if ever it is covered with it ill change my mind. My mind is capable of changing with new evidence. Also I did warn about the explicit label. I give the pros and cons when possible

My mom does the same lol. I like to emphasize the community aspect of it to the parents, but they've been a little slow to come around. I'll just be their gateway for now.

I don't think it's at all unreasonable to exercise a GREAT deal of caution, when one has that experience in one's past; I understand it's a complete nightmare. My debit card number got used for some fraudulent transaction last summer, and even though I caught it right away, and my bank refunded the money the day after I went to my local branch and signed some documents, I still had to wait a week for a replacement card -- a very minor hassle, so I'd hate to imagine anything worse!

I can tell you that of all online transaction processors, Paypal is one of the very best, if not THE very best -- they take their customers' security VERY seriously, and are easy to get hold of, on the phone, if there's ever a need -- I had someone try to run a recurrent billing on me, even though they had utterly disappeared from the internet -- one phone call and that "person" was banned by Paypal for life, as well as being made known to proper law enforcement. I've had, and used, a Paypal account since roughly 2006, and never had a single qualm or issue with anything about them, for both buying and selling. On a scale of 1 to 10, I'd give them a 20. :)

I agree.

But like I said, I think much of this gets down to Is a Person making a Recommendation in a Sincere and Truthful manor.

I thing Most are.

And I don't see Many people saying "Buy this Mod" knowing that there are Above Average, or Potentially Sever problems with it.

Well in this thread some people are denying the problems even exist. The blame the victim version of vaping I guess. Seems silly at this point to deny it. And as said it's still happening today in the new members. I wish sometimes I didn't care because sometimes I think I care too much.

I haven't seen too many people Denying that there haven't been Problems with the iStick50.

But I'm sure if I looked back and Re-Read every Post, I could find a few.

Eah... Guess its just Forum Life in the Modern World.
