As a limited vaper to start with - I have only ever used a 510, eGo and some terrible Health-E-Smoke kit - I must say that the eGo has worked wonders for me. I like it a lot. Is there something better? Most likely. Have I found it? no, but I also have not looked. The reason is the eGo in my opinion is my comfort zone .. and trying a megawatt / 6V box with a bottom feeder simply is not what I want, even if the 'hit' or 'flavor' is better. The eGo is a comfy size, the battery lasts a good while, and is saitisfactory.

Its like asking a guy that just bought a 2011 Camaro SS "Yeah but have you tried the Corvette ZR7??? Sure its four times the cost and handles a wee bit better, but boy do you get to 60mph at least .2 seconds faster!!!"

Sometimes myopia can be good. I'm glad that people are almost universal in recommending the eGo, it makes things simple. Not only am I very pleased with how my eGo clone works, but it saved me a lot of hassle of doing all the research for other models. I like how eGos and their atomizers/cartomizers/accessories are all compatible for the most part.

After getting sick of waiting for stuff to arrive after ordering on the internet, I decided to go around to smoke shops looking for e cig stuff. The only stuff I've found aside from crappy disposables have been 510 accessories, that work with the eGo.

+1 to Mitchell

You have to learn to crawl before you walk, and you have to learn to walk before you run. For many people starting out, an eGo may be the best bet due to the relatively low learning curve and low maintenance. It was hard enough for me to grab onto just what the heck a 510 and 4081 was let alone having to worry about what an 18650 and 16340 are.

For price and ease of use, I STILL say that an eGo is a good fit for 75% of people starting off.

You are mentioning that it's at the Newcomer forum (I am one, too) that you see this.

Maybe it really IS the best answer to most people, who in their quest for an e-Cig asks an open question.

If beginners shall start off with springs and valves and protected/unprotected batteries and LR attys and VV and connectors and what's more - chances are that they'll be scared off (I'm not sick!) or will give up (??) or can't get the darn thing to vape any....

With the unspeakable or similar clones using 510 equipment, you can get "the hang of it" - with a solid kit - and later even use the 510 parts in a "VapeMonster" construction, if so desired.

Don't see the problem, really :)

The beauty of the Ego is portability and stealth. If you enter Walmart carrying a box mod and try to stealth vape, people will inform security that someone is smoking crack on aisle 7. With an Ego, they just look at you funny and move on.

Maybe if someone sold a box mod that looked like a sport cup with Scooby-Doo characters on the side and a cart and atomizer that looked like a straw.

I don't - hate it, I mean. I just understand it.

I like the eGo. It's a perfectly good little e-cig. It's easy to use, and it worked to get me off cigarettes. But I just can't read in the Newbie forum anymore.

I need throat hit like a truck parked on my face.

Get an eGo!

I'm looking for something that will give me maximum battery life

Get an eGo!

My e-cig doesn't give me any flavor - help?

Get an eGo!

I have an eGo, but I'm looking for something more - any suggestions?

Get an eGo!

Like there aren't any other PVs out there?

Get an eGo-T.
